Background: The study's primary goal is to ascertain whether there is a relationship between the processed green tea methanolic extract's (GTME) phytochemical components and its potential effectiveness against human liver cancer cells. The GTME's phytochemical composition was identified using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, and the extract's capacity to lower cellular proliferation and cause apoptosis in HepG2 cancerous liver cell lines was checked.

Results: The findings of the gas chromatography-mass chromatogram showed that GTME included bioactive antioxidants and anticancer substances.

Introduction: Although the prognosis of patients with esophageal cancer has been improved by extended dissection, the incidence of recurrence still remains high. In esophageal cancer, positron emission tomography (PET) using (18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) already demonstrated to be useful for initial staging and monitoring response to therapy. This prospective study compared the ability of FDG-PET and conventional imaging to detect early recurrence of esophageal cancer after initial surgery in asymptomatic patients.

Perforation of juxta-ampullary duodenal diverticula, occurring spontaneously or after abdominal trauma, is a severe condition. Diagnosis is difficult to establish and is based on tomodensitometry, which is the most reliable diagnostic tool. Treatment consists in diverticulectomy that can be associated with drainage of the duodenum or anastomosis between digestive and biliary tract.
