Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease that predominantly affects the older adult population. Neuroinflammation may be triggered by the migration of oral microbiota composition changes from the oral cavity to the brain. However, the relationship between oral microbiota composition and neurodegenerative diseases, such as AD, remains poorly understood.
