Background: There has been an upsurge in the use of electrocautery in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in our environment. Monopolar transurethral resection of the prostate (M-TURP) still remains the gold standard in the surgical management of BPH.
Objectives: To present our experience and the clinical outcome of M-TURP in north-central Nigeria.

He was also a known hypertensive and currently being managed for hypertensive heart disease by the Cardiologist. Colour Doppler interrogation of the Cavernosal Arteries showed multiple areas of narrowing in both arteries, giving beaded appearance.

This study analyses the lives of women survivors and their children born of wartime sexual violence in Uganda. It draws on a population-based survey of 1,844 households in the Acholi and Lango sub-regions of northern Uganda, as well as on in-depth qualitative interviews conducted in 2014 and 2015 with 67 purposefully selected women survivors of wartime sexual violence.

Results: Twenty-four cases of hypospadias had corrective surgery during the 5-year period under review.
