: Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) plays a central role in the diagnosis and follow-up of acute myocarditis (AM). In this study, we aimed to evaluate baseline and follow-up CMR findings and associated factors in children with AM. : A retrospective analysis of CMR in pediatric patients with clinical presentations suggestive of myocarditis was performed.

Objective: It is known that neuropathic pain frequently accompanies rheumatological diseases. In this study, neuropathic pain in Ankylosing Spondylitis(AS) and its relationship with disease activity were investigated.
Methods: Forty patients with AS were included.
Background: Knee osteoarthritis is a common, degenerative joint disease that causes chronic pain that affects daily life. Our study aims to evaluate geriatric patients aged 65 and over with knee pain in terms of osteoarthritis with radiography and magnetic resonance imaging and to investigate its relationship with meniscal pathologies.
Methods: Radiography and magnetic resonance imaging of patients aged 65-88 years with knee pain were evaluated in terms of knee osteoarthritis and staging was performed.

Objective: Familial Mediterranean fever is the most common monogenic autoinflammatory disease. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between sacroiliitis observed in familial Mediterranean fever and hematological inflammatory markers.
Methods: In this study, 168 familial Mediterranean fever patients were examined.
Objectives: Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) can cause peripheral arthritis, tendinitis, enthesitis, and axial skeletal involvement. This study aims to determine early tendon damage by shear wave elastography (SWE) for the Achilles tendon in AS patients.
Methods: 48 AS patients and 48 asymptomatic individuals were included in the study.
Prolonged pleural effusion is a fairly common condition which has considerable impact on complicated and longer hospital stays after Fontan surgery. Identifying the patient population prone to have pleural effusions is still seeking for an answer. This study is to determine the variables that may predict prolonged pleural effusion according to the data of 69 patients who underwent Fontan operation between June 2018 and December 2020 and survived to date.

Methods: This was a multicenter retrospective observational cohort study performed in the pediatric emergency departments of 19 tertiary hospitals. From March 11, 2020, to May 31, 2021, children who were diagnosed with confirmed nasopharyngeal/tracheal specimen SARS-CoV-2 PCR positivity or positivity for serum-specific antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 were included.
Aim: The left and right ventricular dysfunction are important clinical course indicators in patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot. This study aimed to evaluate ventricular volumes, functions, and myocardial deformation in children with repaired tetralogy of Fallot by real-time three-dimensional (four-dimensional) echocardiography and compared with healthy children. It also aimed to investigate the relationships between ventricular volumes, functions, and myocardial deformation parameters in the patients.

Pulmonary venous connections may be infrequently abnormal in patients with tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). A special subgroup of partial anomalous pulmonary venous return,"scimitar cyndrome", and its coexistence with TOF is less frequently reported. It may proceed unnoticed, as cyanosis already predominates in the clinical picture.

Methods: The cohort consisted of 65 patients who were to undergo cataract surgery; the participants were divided into 2 groups: patients with PXS (n=35) and controls without PXS (n=30). A complete ophthalmic examination, measurement of IOP (using an applanation tonometer), and evaluation of anterior segment parameters using a Sirius Scheimpflug/Placido topography device (CSO Italy, Firenze, Italy) were performed on all patients both prior to and 1 month after surgery.
Abnormal small fistulous flows in the pulmonary artery were detected on routine transthoracic echocardiography in asymptomatic patients by colour Doppler echocardiography. The most likely diagnosis is small coronary artery-pulmonary artery fistulas. We evaluated the clinical, echocardiographic, and follow-up findings of 101 patients.

Methods: This prospective, randomized study included 30 primary open angle glaucoma patients and 30 pseudoexfoliation glaucoma patients with similar demographic characteristics and 30 eyes of 30 healthy individuals comprised the control group. Regular optic nerve and macular images were obtained using a Cirrus HD spectral domain optical coherence tomography instrument, along with macular choroidal thickness measurements with enhanced depth imaging mode.
Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia is a rhythm disorder that develops due to genetic reasons in the absence of structural cardiac abnormalities. Ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, cardiac arrest, and death may occur. Two-year-old patient presented to the Emergency Department with sudden cardiac arrest.

Transcatheter closure of a multi-hole perimembranous ventricular septal defect with an aneurysm is challenging. Specific ventricular septal defect closure devices have been developed, but some occluders are reportedly used in an off-label manner. This report describes a child who had a multi-hole perimembranous ventricular septal defect with an aneurysm and underwent successful transcatheter closure using two different occluders: the Occlutech Duct Occluder (Occlutech, Helsingborg, Sweden) and the Amplatzer Duct Occluder II (St.

T1DM precipitates in genetically susceptible individuals through environmental factors. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the impact of autoimmunity and intestinal colonization of Candida albicans on the development of T1DM.

Medical records of 388 patients with AVS were reviewed; patients with concomitant lesions other than aortic regurgitation (AR) were excluded. Trivial AVS was defined as a transvalvular Doppler peak systolic instantaneous gradient of < 25 mmHg; mild stenosis, 25-49 mmHg; moderate stenosis, 50-75 mmHg; and severe stenosis, > 75 mmHg.

This study evaluates residual and recurrent stenosis, aortic regurgitation (AR) development/progression, reintervention rates, and the risk factors associated with this end point in patients with non-critical congenital AVS who underwent BAD or SAV after up to 18 years of follow-up. From 1990 to 2017, 70 consecutive interventions were performed in patients with AVS, and 61 were included in this study (33 BADs and 28 SAVs).

In accordance with developing medical knowledge and scientific evidence, recommendations were updated. The committee was composed of 22 physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists (4 have rheumatology subspeciality also) and an orthopaedic surgeon.

One thousand eight hundred and twenty-three patients had been followed 1 month to 26 years (median 4 years) by echocardiography. Most of 460 patients could not be followed due to transportation of the institution.

Aim: Galactosemia is a carbohydrate metabolism disorder with autosomal recessive inheritance. The most frequent enzyme deficiency is galactose-1-phosphate-uridylytransferase, which causes classic galactosemia. When the enzyme is absent, an infant cannot metabolize galactose-1-phosphate and it cumulates in liver, kidney, brain, tongue, lens, and skin.
