To outline a scenario of acquired transdural spinal cord herniation not previously described. The authors report their experience with a patient found to harbor a thoracic transdural spinal cord herniation at the disk space immediately caudal to a prior discectomy. Documentation of the radiographic progression of this patient's spinal cord herniation is presented, spanning the course of 13 years.

Postoperative intracranial infections, although found in only a minority of surgical cases, remain a recognized potential complication following elective craniotomy. In the treatment of intracranial aneurysms, specifically, reports of significant postoperative infections are rare. Significant postoperative infections are usually observed in association with foreign bodies, such as aneurysm clips, endovascular coils, or materials used for aneurysm wrapping.

Object: Rigid fixation of the upper cervical spine has become an established method of durable stabilization for a variety of craniocervical pathological entities in children. In children, specifically, the use of C1-2 transarticular screws has been proposed in recent literature to be the gold standard configuration for pathology involving these levels.
