Cardiotoxicity represents an important acute or chronic adverse event of treatment modalities for childhood cancer. In the last two decades the emergence of novel cancer therapies has aimed to increase unaided or mostly in combination with conventional chemotherapy for the survival rates of pediatric cancer especially for those patients with relapsed and/or refractory disease. The use of emerging targeted therapies in combination with conventional chemotherapy is related to cardiovascular adverse events mostly reported in adults.

The purpose of our study was to record the epidemiological characteristics and outcomes of bacteremias, focusing on pathogens, as well as risk factors and mortality rates in patients of a pediatric hematology-oncology unit from Northern Greece.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted, which included all positive blood cultures from pediatric hematology oncology patients aged from 1 to 16 years old admitted to the Pediatric and Adolescent Hematology Oncology Unit of AHEPA University Hospital of Thessaloniki between January 2014 and December 2018.
Acro-osteolysis is an osteolysis of the distal phalanges of the hands and feet and can affect the terminal tuft or the shaft of the distal phalanx (transverse or band acro-osteolysis). It is often associated with distal digital ischemia, digital calcinosis, or severe sensory neuropathy. Acro-osteolysis has been associated with a heterogeneous group of disorders, including occupational activities, infections, rheumatic disorders (systemic sclerosis, psoriatic arthritis), endocrinopathies, genetic disorders, and lysosomal storage disorders.
