Background: Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) is a treatment modality that exposes patients to 100% oxygen at higher atmospheric pressures. Recently, HBO has emerged as a potential therapeutic option for various liver diseases, offering advantages such as improved tissue oxygenation, anti-inflammatory effects, enhanced wound healing, and potential hepatoprotective properties. Understanding the benefits of HBO in liver diseases can pave the way for novel therapeutic strategies and improved patient outcomes.

SNARE proteins in synaptic vesicles (synaptobrevin-2) and synaptic plasma membrane (syntaxin-1, SNAP-25) are involved in synaptic exocytosis and recycling.
Patient Presentation: Here, we report a patient that started in early childhood with seizures resistant to antiepileptic drugs, then developed epileptic encephalopathy.
Lumbar hernias are a relatively uncommon occurrence, with two main categories: congenital and acquired. Some acquired hernias are spontaneous, while others are the result of secondary factors such as trauma and surgery. Bilateral primary lumbar hernia is a much rarer occurrence.

We divided 56 male Sprague-Dawley rats into seven groups and induced RA using complete Freund's adjuvant. Some groups received HBOT, whereas others were given etanercept or leflunomide.

Additionally, we analysed the electrophysiological findings and neurocognitive status of patients with ADHD to estimate the prevalence of epilepsy and neurocognitive effects in the ADHD population and evaluate their clinical features.
Method: The study included patients diagnosed with SeLECTS and ADHD who were matched for age and gender.
Background/aim: The percentage change in the stroke volume index (SVI) due to the mini fluid challenge (MFC) (MFC-ΔSVI%) is used commonly in daily practice. However, up to 20% of patients remain in the gray zone of this variable. Thus, it was aimed to compare the MFC-ΔSVI% and the percentage change in the cardiac power index (CPI) due to the MFC (MFC-ΔCPI%) with the baseline values of the pulse pressure variation (PPV) and stroke volume variation (SVV) in terms of their abilities to predict fluid responsiveness.

Virus detection involved polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, double immunohistochemistry (IHC), and double immunofluorescence (IF). One hundred cornu uterus samples were collected from cattle aged 1 year and older.

Objectives: In this study, the effect of weight loss on these parameters was investigated by evaluating the Cobb angle, low back, and back pain.
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) emerged in late 2019, and is the infectious agent that caused the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Although respiratory and gastrointestinal manifestations of SARS-CoV-2 are well defined, the spectrum of neurological involvement is less defined. The classic type of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) progresses over days to weeks and has a monophasic course.

The claustrum is considered a multimodal computing network due to its reciprocal connections with almost all cortical areas as well as subcortical structures. Although the claustrum has been involved in several neurodegenerative diseases, specific changes in connections of the claustrum remain unclear in Alzheimer's disease (AD), and Parkinson's disease (PD).

Background: Current knowledge on the ideal local anesthetic concentration for the ultrasound-guided transversus abdominis plane block (TAPB) in pediatrics is scarce. The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of US-guided TAPB at two different concentrations of bupivacaine in pediatrics undergoing unilateral inguinal hernia repair.
Methods: After random allocation, 74 children aged 1-8 were randomized to receive US-guided TAPB by using 1 mg.
The aim of this study is to assess the extent of the increased intracranial pressure resulting from lateral decubitus and 45° downward positioning using sonographic optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) in patients undergoing laparoscopic transperitoneal nephrectomy. In addition, we evaluated the effect of the carbon dioxide pneumoperitoneum (COPP) on ONSD. Twenty-four adults were enrolled in this prospective observational study.

Objective: To systematically evaluate the available evidence on the efficacy and safety of aprotinin in paediatric cardiac surgery.
Design: Systematic review of all randomised and observational studies comparing aprotinin with tranexamic acid, epsilon aminocaproic acid, placebo or no drug in paediatric cardiac surgery.

Objective: Piriform aperture, paranasal sinuses, and the cranium dimensions were compared with each other and we investigated the alterations depending on the age and gender in these structures. Before the endoscopic sinus surgery, anatomic variations in sinusoidal region and the occurring differences should be considered. The detection of these variations plays important roles in the prevention of complications which may happen in surgery or in obtaining a successful surgical result.

The distribution of mechanoreceptors and neural elements in anatomical structures that provide stabilization of the hip joint is important in determining the optimal surgical incision site for the hip joint stabilizers in patients with coxarthrosis. Various studies have been conducted about the mechanoreceptors and distribution of neural elements in structures such as the transvers acetabular ligament, teres (round) ligament of femur, acetabular labrum and hip joint capsule with using various staining methods.

There are various surgical options available, ranging from endoscopic interventions to a small segment resection and ultimately to transplantation. In this article, patients with the diagnosis of HL and our treatment strategies were evaluated in the light of literature.

Milk has a biologically significant enzyme known as lactoperoxidase (LPO) that is a member of peroxidase family. In metabolism, LPO has ability to catalyze the transformation of thiocyanate (SCN) to hypothiocyanite (OSCN) that is an antibacterial agent and the reaction occurs with hydrogen peroxide.

This study investigated whether a caudal block with bupivacaine alone or in a combination with lidocaine can alter postoperative pain scores, complications, and peroperative and postoperative analgesic consumption.
Material And Methods: This is a retrospective study that included children who underwent elective circumcision surgery under general anesthesia and caudal analgesia between January and June 2018.
Background: Hyperparathyroidism (PHP) is the most common cause of hypercalcemia in outpatients.
