Antipsychotic medications are used to treat many psychiatric conditions and are paramount for relapse prevention in patients with mental illnesses. Antipsychotic monotherapy (APM) is a commonly recommended approach, however there is no clear consensus on the use of antipsychotic polypharmacy (APP).
