Aim: to analyze the short- and long-term outcomes of surgical treatment of patients with gastric cancer who received perioperative chemotherapy (PCT) FLOT (fluorouracil, leucovorin, oxaliplatin and docetaxel).

Materials And Methods: A retrospective cohort study included 146 patients who received surgical treatment at the Faculty Surgery Clinic of Sechenov University for gastric cancer (GC) and/or EGJC Sievert Type II-III in the period from January 2018 to December 2022. The main group consisted of 28 patients who received PCT FLOT; there were 118 patients operated "up front" in control group.

Objective: To demonstrate the capabilities and advantages of double-tract reconstruction after gastrectomy for gastric cancer and simultaneous approach in surgical treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases and gastric cancer.

Material And Methods: We present two cases of double-tract reconstruction after gastrectomy and the gastric stump extirpation as a part of simultaneous surgical approach to patients with gastric cancer and cardiovascular diseases. A 62-year-old patient underwent simultaneous gastrectomy with double-tract reconstruction (for the first time In Russia) and aortofemoral replacement.

The hibernation of small mammals is characterized by long torpor bouts alternating with short periods of arousal. During arousal, due to a significant increase in oxygen consumption, tissue perfusion, and the launch of thermogenesis in cells, a large amount of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitrogen (RNS) can be formed, which can trigger oxidative stress in cells. Moderate hypothermia stimulates LPO processes in rat plasma and erythrocytes and simultaneously increases antioxidant activity in the plasma and SOD activity erythrocyte. Dalargin prevents stimulation of LPO in the blood in hypothermia by reducing the generation of active oxygen species and maintaining the level of low-molecular antioxidants.

The intensity of oxidative modification of plasma proteins and activity of the antioxidative system of the blood of the ground squirrels during awakening from winter sleep is studied. During waking of animals, processes of oxidative modification of proteins in the blood plasma intensify. While the body temperature rises, the antioxidative activity of hydrophylic components of the blood plasma grows essentially, and erythrocyte superoxide dismutase too.
