Identification and validation of QTLs for tuber quality related traits in greater yam (Dioscorea alata L.).

Two Dioscorea alata populations were generated by hand pollination between contrasted diploid genitors. Population A (74F × Kabusa) was composed of 121 progenies while population B (74F × 14M) involved 193 progenies. These two populations were assessed over two consecutive years regarding important tuber quality traits.

An important step in developing 'climate smart' maize varieties is to identify germplasm with good levels of tolerance to the abiotic stresses. The primary objective of this study was to identify landraces with combined high yield potential and desirable secondary traits under drought, heat and combined drought and heat stresses.

Complete Genome Sequences of Five Acinetobacter baumannii Phages from Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

Five bacteriophages of Acinetobacter baumannii were isolated from sewage water in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. Phages Aci01-1, Aci02-2, and Aci05 belong to an unclassified genus of the Myoviridae family, with double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) genomes, whereas Aci07 and Aci08 belong to the Fri1virus genus of the Podoviridae family of phages.
