Herein, a novel electrochemical sensor that was used for the first time for sensitive and selective detection of dopamine (DA) was fabricated. The new sensor is based on the decoration of the glassy carbon electrode surface (GC) with a polymer film of 1,3-Benzothiazol-2-yl((4-carboxlicphenyl)hydrazono)) acetonitrile (poly(BTCA). The prepared (poly(BTCA) was examined by using different techniques such as H NMR, C NMR, FTIR, and UV-visible spectroscopy.

Chemical investigations of the sea urchin has led to separation of twelve compounds including one new sulfonic acid derivative (7) tridec-1-en-7-yl hydrogen sulphate (1), first isolated from natural source, pyridine-3-yl methane sulfonate (2), and first isolated from marine organisms, boldine (12), in addition to nine known compounds (3-11), which were isolated for the first time from the genus Clypeaster. Their structures were elucidated based on spectroscopic analyses (1D and 2D NMR), HR-ESI-MS as well as comparison with the previously reported data. The antiviral activity of the crude extract and sulphated compounds were evaluated using MTT colorimetric assay against Coxsackie B4 virus.

Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) is a precise and conformal radiation therapy (RT) that aims to deliver a high dose of radiation to the tumor whilst sparing surrounding normal tissue, making it an attractive option for head and neck cancer (HNC) patients who are not suitable for the traditional long course of RT with comprehensive RT target volume. Definitive SBRT for HNC has been investigated in different settings, including early stage glottis cancer, and as an alternative to brachytherapy boost after external beam RT. It is also used as a primary treatment option for elderly or medically unfit patients.

In this work, an accurate, highly sensitive, and economical electrochemical sensor based on a carbon paste electrode modified by CaCuO nanostructure (CaCuO NS) was constructed using Eggshell waste recycling as a cheap source of calcium. The CaCuO NS was analyzed using FTIR, SEM, and XRD measurements. The synthesized nanomaterials utilized for the first time to enhance the electrocatalytic efficiency of carbon paste electrode (CPE) toward fluoroquinolones antibiotics ofloxacin (OFL) and ciprofloxacin (CIP), The drugs used to treat pneumonia caused by COVID-19.

Over recent years, the usage of autologous platelet concentrates (APCs) has risen in hard tissue regeneration and oral implantology. The purpose of the present review is to offer an overview of the use of three APC techniques in dentistry: platelet-rich plasma (PRP), platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), and concentrated growth factor (CGF). A narrative summary of articles published between January 2011 and April 2022 is provided.

Introduction: Cultural humility is becoming increasingly important in healthcare delivery. Recognition of power imbalances between clients and healthcare providers is critical to enhancing cross-cultural interactions in healthcare delivery. While cultural humility has been broadly examined in healthcare, knowledge gaps exist regarding its application in occupational therapy (OT) practice.

A simple electrochemical sensor for nicotine (NIC) detection was performed. The sensor based on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was modified by (1,2-naphthoquinone-4-sulphonic acid)(Nq) decorated by graphene oxide (GO) nanocomposite. The synthesized (GO) nanosheets were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), FT-IR, and UV-Visible Spectroscopy.

Background: Pemphigus is a series of autoimmune skin disorders caused by IgG. Regulatory T cells (Tregs) are a subset of CD4+ T cells that mostly block pathogenic immune responses mediated by self-reactive cells; therefore, a lack of Tregs or a malfunction in their activity could lead to a loss of tolerance and the development of autoimmunity.

Aims: To evaluate the expression of lesional and perilesional Treg markers (CD CD bright FOXP ) in pemphigus patients.

A miniaturized biosensor for carbamazepine (CBZ) detection and quantification was designed, implemented and fabricated. The 1×1 mm CMOS chip was packaged and coupled with a 3-electrode electrochemical cell. A complete characterization of the sensor was conducted via two steps: 1) Molecular imprinting of PEDOT polymer sites by cyclic voltammetry (CV) on glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surfaces; and 2) Quantification of CBZ solutions through both CV, and a current peak detection circuitry.
