Cutaneous side effects of chemotherapy in pediatric oncology patients.

Pediatric oncology patients can present with various skin lesions related to both primary disease and immunosuppressive treatments. This study aimed to evaluate the cutaneous side effects of chemotherapy in pediatric oncology patients. Sixty-five pediatric oncology patients who were scheduled to undergo chemotherapy from May 2011 to May 2013 were included in the study.

Adverse cutaneous drug reactions among hospitalized patients: five year surveillance.

Context: Cutaneous Adverse Drug Reactions (CADRs) are observed in 2-3% of hospitalized patients. The clinical presentation of the CADRs varies among different populations.

Hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia: a multidisciplinary approach.

Hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia (HED; Christ-Siemens-Touraine syndrome) is a genetic disorder characterized by sparse hair, oligodontia with peg-shaped teeth, reduced sweating, and defects in a number of other ectodermal organs. A partial or complete absence of eccrine glands can lead to recurrent severe overheating that may cause seizures and neurological deficits. This clinical report presents a 14-year-old male patient with hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia, including the clinical and radiographic findings, and multidisciplinary treatment.
