SLC29A3 spectrum disorder, also known as histiocytosis-lymphadenopathy plus syndrome (HLPS), presents a wide variety of multi-systemic manifestations that can be mistaken for other conditions. Herein, we report a 9-year-old girl who presented with a complex clinical presentation since birth, including chronic generalized lymphadenopathy in association with hepatosplenomegaly, short stature, flexion contractures, hearing loss, hyperpigmentation, and heart anomalies. She was ultimately diagnosed with the SLC29A3 spectrum disorder.

We used post-antifungal effect studies to analyze the activities of anidulafungin (AFG), as a clinically crucial antifungal drug, amphotericin B (AMB), and fluconazole (alone and in combinations) against FLC-susceptible and -resistant () isolates obtained from the cancer patients.

Background: Based on a comprehensive search, we realized that the findings of the available literature are contradictory, and also limited data are available on Middle Eastern populations in terms of probiotic supplementation during the pregnancy. Therefore, the current double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial was carried out to investigate the effects of probiotic supplementation during pregnancy on the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus and also other maternal and neonatal outcomes.
