Osteoporosis is a systemic skeletal disorder characterized by reduced osteoblast differentiation, predominantly by overexpression of the gene. A layer-by-layer approach enabled encapsulation of siRNA to enhance the short half-life and poor transfection capacity of siRNA. Polyethyleneimine and siRNA on chitosan-coated gold nanoparticles (PEI/siRNA/Cs-AuNPs) were engineered using chitosan-reduced gold nanoparticles.

Methotrexate and Teriflunomide are routinely prescribed drugs but their uses are limited due to severe hepatotoxicity. Hyaluronic acid (HYA) is a targeting ligand for CD44 receptors overexpressed on inflamed macrophages.

Both CON-TEF-LIPO and CS-TEF-LIPO were produced, characterized and evaluated for their active targeting potential towards CD44 receptors. Cell cytotoxicity, cell viability and intracellular uptake study on differentiated U937 and MG-63 cells demonstrated the active targeting of CS-TEF-LIPO towards CD44 receptors.

Methods: This prospective cross-sectional study was conducted in two hundred and seven UAE nationals with type 2 diabetes mellitus attending the internal medicine department of a secondary care hospital. Moderately increased albuminuria was estimated in random spot urine samples and was defined as urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) of 3-30 mg/mmoL.
Autoimmune diseases are collectively addressed as chronic conditions initiated by the loss of one's immunological tolerance, where the body treats its own cells as foreigners or self-antigens. These hay-wired antibodies or immunologically capable cells lead to a variety of disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis and recently included neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's, Parkinsonism and testicular cancer triggered T-cells induced autoimmune response in testes and brain. Conventional treatments for autoimmune diseases possess several downsides due to unfavourable pharmacokinetic behaviour of drug, reflected by low bioavailability, rapid clearance, offsite toxicity, restricted targeting ability and poor therapeutic outcomes.

The nanoparticles were synthesized by wet precipitation method and optimized by Box-Behnken experimental design. MTX-CAP-NPs were characterized by TEM, FTIR, DSC and XRD studies.

Therefore, we have developed and validated an isocratic reversed-phase HPLC method for simultaneous analysis of MTX and TEF spiked in the form of active pharmaceutical ingredients, tablets and nanoformulations. The best separation was achieved on a BDS, C , 4.

Background: The CD44 receptor is a cell surface glycoprotein, which mediates many physiological and pathological activities. Its key role is to provide defence against inflammatory reactions by cellular transmigration and cell signalling. In pathological conditions, it gives destructive outcomes by mediating migration of pathogenic cells to vital organs resulting in tissue and organ damage.

Different components of oil-in-water nanoemulsions were moderately agitated by classical titration method and passed through a high-pressure homogenizer to formulate various nanoemulsions, which were further identified by constructing pseudo-ternary phase diagrams. Stress-stability testing was carried out for the nanoemulsions, and those that passed these tests were characterized for mean droplet size, zeta potential, morphology, pH, refractive index, viscosity and transmittance.
