Trazodone overdose-induced Prinzmetal's angina pectoris.

A 29-year-old man presented to the emergency department with chest pain after ingestion of 25 tablets of 50 mg trazodone. Initial electrocardiography revealed a 3-mm ST-segment elevation in leads II, III, and aVF along with reciprocal ST-segment depression in anterior wall leads. Cardiac catheterization showed normal epicardial coronary arteries.

The syndrome of familial hypoparathyroidism, sensorineural deafness, and renal dysplasia (HDR syndrome) is inherited as an autosomal dominant trait, caused by haploinsufficiency of the GATA3 gene in chromosome 10p. Although first described years ago, but the disease is considered to be very rare. Patients usually present with hypocalcemia, tetany, or afebrile convulsions at any age.
