Dietary behaviors established in adolescence usually lead to long-term health consequences. Consuming foods high in fat and sugar on one side and adopting sedentary lifestyle on the other side are responsible for overweight and obesity in adolescent girls which increases the risk of diabetes and hypertension in adult life. Meal convenience is important to many adolescents.

Maternal influenza infection is known to cause substantial morbidity and mortality among pregnant women and young children. Many professional healthcare bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) have identified pregnant women as a priority risk group for receipt of inactivated seasonal influenza vaccination. A 60-year-old menopausal female presented with vulvar itching for one year. She had noticed a whitish lesion on the vulva that slowly increased in size over the year. She had been unsuccessfully treated with oral fluconazole and topical clotrimazole-mometasone combinations and the plaque had gradually spread to involve the clitoris and peri-urethral area.
