Alternatives to nonbiodegradable synthetic plastics for food packaging include films made from biopolymers that are nontoxic and environment-friendly. In this study, carnauba wax (CW) and nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (NG) as functional additives were utilized in the production of pectin/gelatin (PG) film. NG was synthesized through the microwave method, using acetic acid as the carbon source, giving size, and zeta potential of 1.

A scoring system for evaluating the burden of acute PTE based on computed tomography pulmonary angiogram (CTPA) findings was tested for its association with CTEPH within one year.
Material And Methods: In this retrospective cohort of 475 patients with a definitive diagnosis of acute PTE, the Qanadli score (QS) was calculated on the initial CTPA.
Transurethral lithotripsy (TUL) procedure via ureteroscopy as an invasive method for nephrolithiasis treatment would lead to urinary tract injuries. In this reported case, the procedure caused severe damage to the left ureter that was detected by Tc-diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid ( Tc-DTPA) scan. Generally, the TUL procedure through the ureter scope is used to manage urinary tract stones.

Cancer antigen 15-3 (CA15-3) is a common tumor marker and the serum level of this tumor marker is evaluated during the treatment period (periodically) in breast cancer patients. Assuming that the elevated serum levels of this tumor marker can be a potential risk, this study was conducted to determine the association between CA15-3 and bone metastasis and CA15-3 and metastasis spreading rate in breast cancer patients. In this study, 70 women with the mean of age 51.

Methods: Yb-175 labeled pamidronate and alendronate (175Yb-PMD and 175Yb-ALN) complexes were prepared successfully at optimized conditions with acceptable radiochemical purity, stability and significant hydroxyapatite absorption. The biodistribution of complexes were evaluated up to 48 h, which demonstrated significant bone uptake ratios for 175Yb-PAM at all-time intervals.
N-Methyl-3-acylpyrroles were synthesized via a multicomponent reaction of dimethylacetylene dicarboxylate (DMAD), N-methylhydroxylamine and acylchlorides in the presence of KHCO(3). For comparison both conventional and microwave protocols were examined in this procedure. The reaction is clean and gives the products in good to excellent yields under conventional heating conditions at 40 degrees C in anhydrous dichloromethane.

The reaction is conducted on grinding over MgO at room temperature resulting in good yields.
