In the present case study, we describe a 53-year-old male with an aggressive small cell lung cancer (SCLC) that was diagnosed in January 2019. Our patient was treated as first line of systemic chemotherapy consisting of cisplatin and etoposide followed by mediastinal prophylactic radiotherapy with good response later he received for his metastatic disease (M-SCLC) a rechallenge of systemic chemotherapy consisting of carboplatin, etoposide and dulvalumab with stable disease and after progression his disease he was treated with lurbinectedin and after four cycles he reached a complete radiologic response. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case to be reported of M-SCLC patient treated with prior of two types of platinum combination with immunotherapy and reaching a complete radiologic response.

Purpose From an anthropological perspective of hominin communication, the human auditory system likely evolved to enable special sensitivity to sounds produced by the vocal tracts of human conspecifics whether attended or passively heard. While numerous electrophysiological studies have used stereotypical human-produced verbal (speech voice and singing voice) and nonverbal vocalizations to identify human voice-sensitive responses, controversy remains as to when (and where) processing of acoustic signal attributes characteristic of "human voiceness" per se initiate in the brain. Method To explore this, we used animal vocalizations and human-mimicked versions of those calls ("mimic voice") to examine late auditory evoked potential responses in humans.

Background: Overdose education and naloxone distribution programmes are known to reduce opioid-related deaths. A state-wide naloxone distribution effort of 8250 rescue kits was undertaken by government, community and university partners in West Virginia in 2016-2017. The purpose of this study was to discern the barriers, facilitators and lesson learnt from implementing this endeavour in a rural state with the highest opioid overdose fatality rate in the US.

A methanolic extract of plaice skin, from which lipids had been removed, was chromatographed on alumina, eluted with decreasing concentrations of ethanol. Only the 60% ethanol fraction exhibited smooth muscle activity, with bradykinin-like properties. The 20% ethanol fraction increased vascular permeability in rat skin, as measured by dye-leakage.
