Papillary thyroid carcinoma is the most common primary thyroid cancer. Most frequently treated with surgical resection, some cases require radioactive iodine (RAI) therapy. Studies have suggested that there is an increase in second primary malignancy after RAI therapy amongst thyroid cancer survivors including acute myeloid leukemia (AML) as an infrequent cancer related to RAI therapy; it has a higher relative risk ratio in patients on higher doses of radiation exposure.

Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a myeloproliferative neoplasm characterized by three phases: chronic, accelerated, and blast phase. However; first- and second-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitors are used for the treatment of CML with common and uncommon adverse events. Here, we report a 24-year-old male with CML in chronic phase started on imatinib as upfront medication who developed tremor and recovered spontenously after 3 years.

Objective: The objectives of the current study were to study the main environmental factors affecting birth weight (BW) and weaning weight (WW), estimate variance components, genetic parameters and genetic trend and to evaluate the variability and relationships among breeding value of BW and WW using principal components analysis (PCA).

Methods: A total of 16,370 records were collected from 8,271 buffalo calves. Genetic parameters and breeding values were estimated using a bivariate animal model which includes direct, maternal and permanent maternal effects.

Effect of Multilayering Incremental Technique on the Microleakage of High-viscosity Bulk-fill Composite Restorations in Endodontically Treated Teeth.

Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of multilayering incremental technique on the microleakage of high-viscosity bulk-fill composite restorations in endodontically treated teeth.

Materials And Methods: A total of 60 human mandibular premolar teeth were divided into four groups after standardized access preparation with a protaper technique followed by single-cone obturation to receive the following restorations for the access preparations. Two new polyhydroxylated steroids, 3-acetoxy-gorgost-5,6,11-triol and (23 R) methylergosta-20-ene-3,5,6,17-tetrol , together with three known gorgosteroid compounds, gorgost-3, 5,6,11- tetrol , 11-acetoxy-gorgost- 3,5, 6- triol , and gorgost-5 () ene-3--ol , as well as batyl alcohol , were isolated from the Egyptian soft coral . The structures of these compounds were elucidated based on NMR spectroscopic analyses, HR-FAB-MS, and comparisons with published data. The cytotoxic activities of the fractions and compounds were evaluated against MCF-7 cancer cell lines using MTT colorimetric assay.
