Accurately estimating Battery State of Charge (SOC) is essential for safe and optimal electric vehicle operation. This paper presents a comparative assessment of multiple machine learning regression algorithms including Support Vector Machine, Neural Network, Ensemble Method, and Gaussian Process Regression for modelling the complex relationship between real-time driving data and battery SOC. The models are trained and tested on extensive field data collected from diverse drivers across varying conditions.

The oceans act as major carbon dioxide sinks, greatly influencing global climate. Knowing how these sinks evolve would advance our understanding of climate dynamics. We construct a conceptual box model for the oceans to predict the temporal and spatial evolution of CO2 of each ocean, and the time-evolution of their salinities.

Due to the rise in vehicular emissions, the rapid deterioration of the atmospheric air quality is a cause for concern in a global scale. In this context, the objective of this study is to explore the effect of post-injection parameters on a continuous active regeneration trap (CART) to mitigate harmful greenhouse gases (GHG) and particulate smoke emissions (PSE) using diesel fuel reformulated by long-chain microalgae bio-alcohol and low-density microalgae biodiesel. Furthermore, the efficiency of the CART unit is analyzed based on its ability to mitigate the harmful emissions without sacrificing the engine performance characteristics.

The increased demands and dependence on depleted oil reserves, accompanied by global warming and climate change have driven the world to explore and develop new strategies for global sustainable development. Among sustainable biomass sources, microalgae represent a promising alternative to fossil fuel and can contribute to the achievement of important Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This article has reviewed the various applications of microalgal biomass that includes (i) the use in aquaculture and its sustainability; (ii) commercial value and emerging extraction strategies of carotenoids; (iii) biofuels from microalgae and their application in internal combustion engines; (iv) the use and reuse of water in microalgae cultivation; and (v) microalgae biotechnology as a key factor to assist SDGs.

Mucormycosis is a rare, but potentially fatal, fungal infection which is caused by mucormyctes. These forms of fungi are typically known to infect immuno-compromised individuals but are rare in immunocompetent individuals. Herein, we report the case of a 52 year-old female who was diagnosed with right breast carcinoma in Manipal Hospital, a tertiary cancer care center.

The role of personality traits in modulating the incidence and progression of medical disease conditions are well documented, however, there is a paucity of information for its effects on dental health conditions and specifically on the prognosis of restorative dental materials. This study aims to evaluate the clinical performance of Micro-hybrid and Nano-ceramic composite restorations among patients with different personality traits. A total of 323 patients, indicated to receive operative treatment at a University Dental College Hospital, were invited to participate in this study.

The discovery of clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat (CRISPR)/ CRISPR-associated (Cas) genome editing systems and their applications in human health and medicine has heralded a new era of biotechnology. However, the delivery of CRISPR therapeutics is arguably the most difficult barrier to overcome for translation to clinical administration. Appropriate delivery methods are required to efficiently and selectively transport all gene editing components to specific target cells and tissues of interest, while minimizing off-target effects.

The present experimental investigation is conducted to examine the working characteristics of compression ignition (CI) engine using oxygenated additives such as diethyl ether and ethanol to the blends of Calophyllum inophyllum biodiesel. Experiments are conducted on a water-cooled single-cylinder constant speed DI (direct injection) diesel engine under same operating circumstances. The results indicates that an enhancement of brake thermal efficiency is up to 3.

Genetically engineered immune cells with chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) or modified T cell receptors (TCR) have demonstrated their potential as a potent class of new cancer therapeutic strategy. Despite the clinical success of autologous CD19 CAR T cells in hematological malignancies, allogeneic T cells exhibit many advantages over their autologous counterparts and have recently gathered widespread attention due to the emergence of multiplex genome editing techniques, particularly CRISPR/Cas systems. Furthermore, genetically engineered T cells face a host of major challenges in solid tumors that are not as significant for blood cancers such as T cell targeted delivery, target specificity, proliferation, persistence, and the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

An increase in population, rapid urbanization and industrialization has accelerated the rate of municipal solid waste generation. The current disposal of solid waste is a burgeoning issue and it's in immediate need to shift the existing disposal processes to a sustainable manner. Circular economy (CE) is a conceptual model which is been used for better use of resources and minimization of waste in a closed loop approach which could be appropriate for waste management.

Electrospun nanofibers have a wide range of applications due to their unique miniature size and accompanying ultra-high specific surface area. Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) is a kind of hydrophilic materials, and hence its nanofiber morphology prepared by electrospinning disappeared after solution immersing. In the present work, crosslinked PVA nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning and then employing glutaraldehyde vapor crosslinking to improve their water resistance and mechanical properties.

Background: While using radial forearm free flap in palate reconstruction, the pedicle lies in the nasal floor, constantly exposed to the nasal secretions and turbulent air current. To overcome this problem, we have designed a procedure which utilises the adipofascial extension to wrap the pedicle and nasal side of the flap.

Materials And Methods: The study was done during 2017 and 2018, 2 years' period.
