Objective: We describe the clinical implementation in North America of Teen Online Problem Solving (TOPS), a 10+ session, evidence-based telehealth intervention providing training in problem-solving, emotion regulation, and communication skills.

Methods: Twelve children's hospitals and three rehabilitation hospitals participated, agreeing to train a minimum of five therapists to deliver the program and to enroll two patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) per month. Barriers to reach and adoption were addressed during monthly calls, resulting in expansion of the program to other neurological conditions and extending training to speech therapists.

Even though most thyroid subjects are undiagnosed due to nonspecific symptoms, universal screening for thyroid disease is not recommended for the general population. In this study, our motive is to showcase the early appearance of thyroid autoantibody, anti-TPO, prior to the onset of thyroid hormone disruption; hence the addition of anti-TPO in conjunction with traditional thyroid markers TSH and FT4 would aid to reduce the long-term morbidity and associated health concerns. Here, a total of 4581 subjects were tested multiple times for TSH, FT4, anti-TPO, and anti-Tg and followed up for 2 years.

We report on calculations-using the LEVEL and BCONT programs by Le Roy, the latter of which is a version modified by B. McGeehan-of the dependence of the radiative lifetime of the Na sodium dimer 4Σ shelf-state on the initial vibrational and rotational level for corresponding quantum numbers of 0 ≤ v ≤ 75 and 0 ≤ J ≤ 90, respectively. We also present experimental lifetime values for 43 < v < 64, averaged over J = 19 and 21, obtained by a delayed pump-probe method using a previously described molecular beam and time-of-flight apparatus.

We report on the lifetime measurement of the state of Na molecules, produced in a heat-pipe oven, using a time-resolved spectroscopic technique. The level was populated by two-step two-color double resonance excitation via the intermediate state. The excitation scheme was done using two synchronized pulsed dye lasers pumped by a Nd:YAG laser operating at the second harmonics.

Lifetimes of partially resolved ro-vibrational levels of the Na 2Σ double well state have been measured for the first time. Ground state sodium dimer molecules in a molecular beam are resonantly excited by the doubled output of a 10 ns pulsed dye laser in the range 333-357 nm. After being allowed to decay for a predetermined time interval, the surviving excited molecules are ionized by 532 nm photons from a delayed Nd:YAG laser and detected in a linear time-of-flight mass spectrometer.

We report high resolution measurements of 372 NaCs 5(3)Π(0)(v, J) ro-vibrational level energies in the range 0 ≤ v ≤ 22. The data have been used to construct NaCs 5(3)Π(0) potential energy curves using the Rydberg-Klein-Rees and inverted perturbation approximation methods. Bound-free 5(3)Π(0)(v, J) → 1(a)(3)Σ(+) emission has also been measured, and is used to determine the repulsive wall of the 1(a)(3)Σ(+) state and the 5(3)Π(0) → 1(a)(3)Σ(+) relative transition dipole moment function.

Use of various bisphosphonates has been associated with the development of osteonecrosis of the jaws (ONJ). At least 865 cases of ONJ attributed to these agents have been reported in the English-language literature. This article provides a targeted review of the scientific literature on the effects of experience on early brain and behavioral development and later outcome as it pertains to risk for some forms of child psychopathology. It is argued that ample evidence exists indicating that the prenatal and early postnatal years likely represent a sensitive period with respect to the effects of stress on the developing nervous system and behavioral outcome, and with respect to the long-term beneficial effects of early interventions on brain and behavioral development for some genetically based disorders, such as phenylketonuria and autism. Moreover, evidence suggests that parental mental health during the first years of life has a significant influence on early brain activity and behavior, and long-term behavioral outcome.

Macroscopic fluorescence techniques (encompassing conventional fluorescence intensity, anisotropy [also often referred to as fluorescence polarization] and energy transfer) monitor the assay volume- and time-averaged fluorescence output from the ensemble of emitting fluorophores. In contrast, single-molecule detection (SMD) techniques and related approaches, such as fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS), stochastically sample the fluorescence properties of individual constituent molecules and only then average many such detection events to define the properties of the assay system as a whole.

The Newcastle disease virus isolated from healthy turkeys in outbreak GB 97/6 was used to challenge 4-week-old turkeys and chickens, which were either not vaccinated or had received a single dose of Hitchner B1 live vaccine 14 days earlier, by one of the intramuscular, intranasal or contact routes. Similar experiments were done in 38-day-old turkeys and chickens using virus isolated from severely sick chickens in outbreak GB 97/1. All vaccinated chickens showed low but measurable immune responses 14 days after vaccination, but only three of the turkeys had detectable antibodies.

To explore whether menstrually related mood changes might account for this gender difference, we studied the relationship between menstrual cycle phase and mood in a sample of premenopausal women with rapid cycling bipolar disorder (RCBD).

Disruptions in the sleep-wake cycle frequently characterize affective illness and have led to a number of theories linking sleep-wake and/or circadian rhythm disturbance to affective illness. Recently, researchers have expanded these chronobiological theories to include the role of lifestyle regularity, or daily social rhythms. In this study, the Social Rhythm Metric (SRM) was used to explore the relationship between social rhythms and mood in patients with rapid cycling bipolar disorder and to compare the social rhythms of patients with those of healthy control subjects.
