Background: Laryngeal chondrosarcoma (LCS) is an exceedingly rare malignancy and least frequently reported in the epiglottis.

Methods And Results: We report a case of a 71-year-old male smoker who presented with sore throat, dysphagia, and odynophagia for 3 months. Computed tomography scan revealed an inhomogeneously enhancing necrotic mass emanating from the right epiglottis and traveling along the aryepiglottic fold.

Objective: p16 immunohistochemical expression serves as a surrogate for human papillomavirus (HPV)-positive oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC). While HPV-positive OPSCC commonly demonstrates prominent nuclear expression, aberrant cytoplasmic expression has been demonstrated in tobacco-related head and neck cancers. The purpose of this study is to investigate the prognostic significance of p16 cellular localization in OPSCC.

Background: The pathogenesis of allergic fungal rhinosinusitis (AFRS) is thought to represent an immunological reaction to fungal antigens. Recent studies have implicated superantigens and non-immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated mechanisms in the development of AFRS. Background: Recent data has implicated Staphylococcus aureus (SA) superantigen as a potential disease modifier in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). The objective of this work was to compare total serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) and serum eosinophils in patients with CRSwNP and CRS without nasal polyps (CRSsNP) based on culture results of the 3 most commonly isolated bacteria.
