Disorders of Ejaculation: An AUA/SMSNA Guideline.

Purpose: Men who ejaculate before or shortly after penetration, without a sense of control, and who experience distress related to this condition may be diagnosed with premature ejaculation (PE), while men who experience difficulty achieving sexual climax may be diagnosed with delayed ejaculation (DE). The experience of many clinicians suggest that these problems are not rare and can be a source of considerable embarrassment and dissatisfaction for patients. The role of the clinician in managing PE and DE is to conduct appropriate investigation, to provide education, and to offer available treatments that are rational and based on sound scientific data.

Safety and Efficacy of Collagenase Clostridium histolyticum in the Treatment of Acute Phase Peyronie's Disease: A Multi-institutional Analysis.

Objective: To study, in a multi-institutional setting, the efficacy/safety outcomes in acute phase Peyronie's disease (PD) of multiple high-volume centers employing CCH to treat PD, which is defined as the abnormal formation of fibrous plaque(s) in the tunica albuginea of the penis. It is a chronic condition that afflicts 3%-13% of the US male population. There is no current multi-institutional research on the efficacy and safety of collagenase Clostridium histolyticum (CCH) in the treatment of acute phase PD.

A Novel Video-Based Patient Education Program to Reduce Penile Prosthetic Surgery Cancellations.

Penile prosthetic surgery is an effective treatment for men with erectile dysfunction. Cancellation of surgery is disruptive and costly to patients, physicians, and the healthcare system. This pilot study sought to analyze surgery cancellations and implement a video-based patient education program to decrease surgery noncompletion.

Intralesional Collagenase Clostridium histolyticum Causes Meaningful Improvement in Men with Peyronie's Disease: Results of a Multi-Institutional Analysis.

Purpose: In a multi-institutional setting we studied the efficacy and safety outcomes at multiple high volume centers where collagenase Clostridium histolyticum is used to treat Peyronie's disease.

Materials And Methods: We collected retrospective data on consecutive patients with Peyronie's disease who underwent treatment with collagenase C. histolyticum between April 2014 and March 2018 at a total of 5 institutions.

Office-based management of impotence and Peyronie's disease.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) impacts more than 50% of men older than 40 years; Peyronie disease (PD) affects up to 10% of men, with an adverse impact on normal sexual function and overall well-being. ED can also be the first sign of other underlying disease. The office-based evaluation of ED and PD is the first step in the management of these devastating conditions of men's health.

Prostate cryoablation in patients with multiple-component inflatable penile prostheses.

Objective: To evaluate and assess any inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP)-related complications in patients with organ-confined prostate cancer treated definitively with third-generation, ultrasound-guided prostate cryoablation.

Material And Methods: From November 2003 to October 2010, we identified 100 consecutive patients with clinically organ-confined prostate cancer who were treated with targeted cryoablation as primary or salvage therapy by a single surgeon. Review of these patients revealed 13 who had previously been diagnosed with organic erectile dysfunction and had been implanted with a multiple-component IPP by the same surgeon.
