One or multiple chlorophyll a molecules are employed in the reaction center of photosystem II's main electron donor (defined as P680). We have a poor understanding of how the reaction center facilitates water oxidation in photosystem II and the roles that mono- and/or multimeric chlorophyll groups play when P680 oxidizes a neighboring tyrosine in order to drive water oxidation at the oxygen evolving complex. We have prepared a dimeric Mg-porphyrin complex [Mg(BTPP)] (1, H-BTPP=1,2-bis-(10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin-5-yl)-benzene) as a structural and functional mimic of the dimeric core of P680.

Despite their importance, there is a lack of comprehensive research characterizing CRPs, including their program directors and the nature and influence of their funding streams.
Methods: A survey was administered to 70 CRP directors across the US and Canada.
The market for olive leaf dietary supplements is expanding rapidly and is valued at $437.15 million today. However, information on the control of these products is sketchy and the origin and variety of olives are rarely stated.

Of the family, FAM83F is of particular interest because it is the only membrane-targeted FAM83 protein. When overexpressed, FAM83F activates the canonical Wnt signalling pathway and binds to and stabilizes p53; it therefore interacts with two pathways often dysregulated in disease.

Here, we determined the potency, dissociation kinetics and antagonism by naloxone at the μ receptor of several fentanyl and nitazene analogues, compared to morphine and DAMGO.
Experimental Approach: In vitro assays of G protein activation and signalling and arrestin recruitment were performed.
TP53-mutant mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is associated with poor survival outcomes with standard chemoimmunotherapy. Dual BTK and BCL2-inhibition with or without anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody therapy has shown promising activity in TP53-mutant MCL. We conducted a multi-center phase 2 study of zanubrutinib, obinutuzumab, and venetoclax (BOVen) in untreated MCL patients with TP53 mutation.

Computational studies examine the bonding interactions, particularly between metals, in these complexes. Several factors─including metal oxidation state, coordination number, and dispersion effects─affect metal-metal distances and covalency in these actinide tetrametallates.

Yet, internationally, young adults are rarely targeted in health campaigns, and little is known on how to improve their interest and participation in health promotion efforts. Through 33 semi-structured interviews with young adults working in Singapore, we explored their engagement with existing public and workplace health promotion efforts that encouraged healthy eating and increased physical activity, and their subjective health in the context of their daily lives.

Study Design: We searched for published reports of physical activity interventions for preventing and managing type 2 diabetes in Indigenous adults (18 years or older). There were no exclusion criteria regarding study type or duration, frequency, length, or intensity of physical activity, except that short term interventions were excluded.
Background: Manual objective assessment of skill and errors in minimally invasive surgery have been validated with correlation to surgical expertise and patient outcomes. However, assessment and error annotation can be subjective and are time-consuming processes, often precluding their use. Recent years have seen the development of artificial intelligence models to work towards automating the process to allow reduction of errors and truly objective assessment.

Methods: Online cross-sectional survey of N = 188 clinicians/service managers working in AOD services across metropolitan and regional/rural New South Wales, Australia. Participants ranked the importance of demographic and family factors, substance use, physical health, mental health, functioning and activities of daily living and youth-specific variables in identifying treatment need (five-point Likert scales).
Predictive modeling approaches are enabling progress toward robust and reproducible brain-based markers of neuropsychiatric conditions by leveraging the power of multivariate analyses of large datasets. While deep learning (DL) offers another promising avenue to further advance progress, there are challenges related to implementation in 3D (best for MRI) and interpretability. Here, we address these challenges and describe an interpretable predictive pipeline for inferring Autism diagnosis using 3D DL applied to minimally processed structural MRI scans.

Study Design: This retrospective cohort study used the American College of Surgeons TQIP (2016 to 2021) database.

Gulf War Illness (GWI) is a disorder experienced by many veterans of the 1991 Gulf War, with symptoms including fatigue, chronic pain, respiratory and memory problems. Exposure to toxic chemicals during the war, such as oil well fire smoke, pesticides, physiological stress, and nerve agents, is thought to have triggered abnormal neuroinflammatory responses that contribute to GWI. Previous studies have examined the acute effects of combined physiological stress and chemical exposures using GWI rodent models and presented findings related to neuroinflammation and changes in diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) measures, suggesting a neuroimmune basis for GWI.

This study investigated how individualized measures of preoperative cortical gyrification index differ in 142 infants with congenital heart disease, using a normative modelling approach with reference data from 320 typically developing infants. Gyrification index -scores for the whole brain and six major cortical areas were generated using two different normative models: one accounting for post-menstrual age at scan, post-natal age at scan and sex, and another additionally accounting for supratentorial brain volume.
