Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Hand Surgery Milestones V2.0 Development and Implementation: What Fellowship Directors, Faculty, and Fellows Need to Know.

Milestones have been in effect for Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited hand surgery fellowships since 2015. In 2016, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education began an improvement process to make the milestones easier to read, understand, and assess. This article looks at the process used for hand surgery, makes comparisons between the two versions, and discusses the resulting changes.
