Article Synopsis
  • The sol-gel method was used to create nano CoFeO and silver-substituted CoFeO nanohybrids, using gum as a biofuel, with varying silver content (0 to 0.4).
  • Various techniques like UV-visible and electron microscopy were utilized to analyze the morphology, magnetic properties, and optical characteristics of the produced nanoferrite, which exhibited a spherical shape and cubic structure.
  • The study found that increasing silver content improves antibacterial effects and antioxidant activities while affecting magnetic properties, suggesting potential for these hybrid nanoparticles in biomedical applications.

TiO (0-10 wt %)-doped nanocrystalline NiCuZnFeO (Ni-Cu-Zn) ferrites were synthesized using the sol-gel route of synthesis. The cubic spinel structure of the ferrites having the 3 space group was revealed from the analysis of Rietveld refined X-ray diffraction (XRD) data. The secondary phase of TiO with a space group of 41/ was observed within the ferrites with doping, > 3 wt %.
