Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia grade III (CIN III) represents a critical precursor to invasive cervical cancer, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of its etiology, progression, diagnosis, and preventive strategies. This review integrates an approach to synthesize current literature, conducted through a meticulous search of databases (Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar) for relevant articles discussing CIN III and its association with Human Papillomavirus (HPV). The review delineates the multifaceted landscape of CIN III, elucidating the pathogenesis involving high-risk HPV types, demographic factors (age and sexual behavior), behavioral determinants (smoking and contraceptive use), and environmental influences impacting disease epidemiology.

Sequestosome-1 (SQSTM1/p62) is an autophagy receptor that interacts with its binding partners via the LC3-interacting region (LIR). The p62 protein has been a highly researched target for its critical role in selective autophagy.

Tfh cells play an essential role in the interaction of T cells/B cells in the germinal centers (GC), and dysregulation of Tfh actions can offer pathogenic autoantibody formation and lead to the development of autoimmune diseases. This study seeks to evaluate changes in Tfh frequency and its related cytokines in autoimmune disease, its association with disease phase, severity, prognosis, and the effect of immunosuppressive treatment on the Tfh population.

This type of diabetes is a progressive degeneration β cells of the islets of Langerhans, which decreases insulin production and causes permanent dependence on insulin injection. It is essential to control diabetes in adolescents and increase awareness about the effective factors (self-care) on the health of adolescents with diabetes.

Exosomal release pathway and autophagy together maintain homeostasis and survival of cells under stressful conditions. Autophagy is a catabolic process through which cell entities, such as malformed biomacromolecules and damaged organelles, are degraded and recycled via the lysosomal-dependent pathway. Exosomes, a sub-type of extracellular vesicles (EVs) formed by the inward budding of multivesicular bodies (MVBs), are mostly involved in mediating communication between cells.

Nerve tissue repair and regeneration is a slow process that might take a long time and cost a lot of money. As a result, tissue engineering was employed to treat nerve tissue lesions.

Materials And Methods: The present research was conducted on 42 patients (27 females and 15 males) with insufficient width of edentulous ridge. The patients were randomly assigned into two groups, FDBA alone + collagen membrane (n = 21) and the combined FDBA and AB + collagen membrane (n = 21).
Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate whether horizontal continuous and apical stretching sutures could reduce FGG shrinkage.
Materials And Methods: In this randomized controlled clinical trial ten patients (20 sites, seven females and three males) ranging from 18 to 53 years (average 39 years) with insufficient keratinized and attached gingiva received FGG in two quadrants of mandible (splitmouth design). Horizontal continuous and apical stretching sutures were used in test sites in addition to common suturing techniques.
Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a widespread endocrine disorder, affecting approximately 20% of women within reproductive age. It is associated with hyperandrogenism, obesity, menstrual irregularity, and anovulatory infertility. Melatonin is the main pineal gland hormone involved in the regulation of the circadian rhythm.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFMelatonin is a ubiquitous indole amine that plays a fundamental role in the regulation of the biological rhythm. Disrupted circadian rhythm alters the expression of clock genes and deregulates oncogenes, which finally promote tumor development and progression. An evidence supporting this notion is the higher risk of developing malignancies among night shift workers.

The NLRP3 inflammasome has been found to be the major initiator of the associated pathologic inflammation. It has been found that ETs can trigger all the signals required for an NLRP3-mediated response.

The interaction between Aspergillus antigens and lung epithelial cells (LECs) result in innate immune functions. The association between Aspergillus conidia and allergic reactions, like allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) and asthma have been repeatedly reported.

However, the production of neutralizing antibodies (NAb) can impair its function. The aim of this study was to investigate the production of neutralizing antibodies against Rebif® and ReciGen® (two brands of IFN-β-1a) and to evaluate its correlation with Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS).

The present study was performed aiming to evaluate P53 and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression in the gingival tissue of opium-dependent patients.
Methods: 102 individuals (70 men and 32 women) were entered in the study.
Background: Substance abuse or drug addiction is one of the most important health issues in every society, which can lead to physical and mental problems.
Objectives: This study aimed to compare the efficacy of tramadol plus gabapentin versus methadone use in the treatment of opiate withdrawal.
Patients And Methods: Consenting male subjects who fulfilled the DSM-4 criteria for opiate dependence syndrome (opium, residue, and heroin) were randomly assigned in two groups to receive tramadol plus gabapentin or methadone.
Objective: To determine whether an association exists between mean platelet volume (MPV) and severity of acute ischemic stroke. Also, to investigate the power of MPV for discriminating more severe ischemic stroke from mild events.
Methods: We divided 100 patients with first ischemic stroke presenting to the Neurology Department, Fatemieh Hospital, Semnan, Iran between January 2010 and January 2011 into 2 groups based on Rankin score (group 1: score 0-2, and group 2: score 3 or more).
Introduction: Some probable mechanisms have been described to the relationship between magnesium (Mg) level and migraine headache attacks. In the study reported here, we sought to determine the total Mg serum status of patients with migraine within and between the headache attacks and compare it with non-migraineurs.
Methods: This study was performed on 50 migraineurs patients diagnosed according to the International Headache Society (IHS) criteria for acute migraine headache.
Background And Aims: Cardiac troponins are tests with high sensitivity and specificity and selective biomarkers for diagnosis of acute myocardial infarct. Epilepsy is one of the common neurological diseases that presents as recurrent seizures. This study was designed to assess the troponin levels in patients with complicated and uncomplicated seizures.
