WEE1 is a key tyrosine kinase involved in the cell cycle regulation with potent anticancer effects in various cancer types including colorectal cancer. Recent studies have focused on the potential of combinational inhibition of Ataxia Telangiectasia and Rad-3-related protein (ATR) and WEE1 in increasing apoptosis in cancer cells. Therefore, this study investigates the effects of inhibiting WEE1, by employing AZD1775, on colorectal cancer cells' susceptibility to VE-822-induced DNA damage and apoptosis.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the usability and quality of the Head Computed Tomography Scan Appropriateness Criteria (HAC) mobile app for physicians' computed tomography scan ordering.
Methods: Our study design was primarily based on methodological triangulation by using mixed methods research involving quantitative and qualitative think-aloud usability testing, quantitative analysis of the Mobile Apps Rating Scale (MARS) for quality assessment, and debriefing across 3 phases.
Background: VE-822 is a novel inhibitor of ATR, a key kinase involved in the DNA damage response pathway. The role of ATR inhibition in reversing drug resistance in various cancer types has been investigated. Therefore, this study investigated the effects of ATR inhibition by VE-822 on reversing 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) resistance in colorectal cancer cell line (Caco-2).
