Article Synopsis
  • The study evaluated the reliability and sensitivity of the WHOQOL-100 scale for assessing quality of life in patients with schizophrenia.
  • The scale demonstrated high internal consistency (Cronbach alpha = 0.94) among 54 outpatients and 49 healthy controls, indicating it’s a dependable measurement tool.
  • Significant negative correlations were found between specific psychopathology subscales and quality of life domains, suggesting that factors like anxiety and anhedonia influence quality of life, which could help in clinical assessments and future studies.
