Hence, this study sought to investigate the EI and self-esteem of nursing students in Saudi Arabia and India.
Methods: A descriptive-comparative research design was used to compare 660 nursing students from Saudi Arabia and India who were enrolled in the study from September 2022 to January 2023.
Background: Patient engagement as partners in diabetes prevention for family members/close relatives is a novel and underexplored approach. This paper aims to assess patients' willingness and confidence in their ability to succeed as health educators for their family members and investigate the influencing factors.
Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted between January 2023 and April 2023.
Exome sequencing (ES) has identified biallelic kinesin family member 12 (KIF12) mutations as underlying neonatal cholestatic liver disease. We collected information on onset and progression of this entity. Among consecutively referred pediatric patients at our centers, diagnostic ES identified 4 patients with novel, biallelic KIF12 variants using the human GRCh38 reference sequence, as KIF12 remains incompletely annotated in the older reference sequence GRCh37.

Objective: In recent years, an overwhelming association between Pediatric Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) and autoimmune diseases has been largely reported. The current study was designed to determine a possible association between autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT), celiac disease (CD) - associated autoantibodies, and Parvovirus B19 infection among pediatric T1DM cases in the southwestern region of Saudi Arabia.
Patients And Methods: Blood samples from age groups 1-18 years attending the Diabetic Clinic were collected over a period of 12 months.
Background: Cardiac device therapy is likely to affect different aspects of patients' psychological well-being, such as their quality of life. The aim of this study was to examine the mental health status, specifically the conditions of depression and anxiety regarding implantable cardiac device patients.
Methods: A cross-sectional retrospective study was conducted in January 2022.
Objectives: Despite its financial cost on the world's health care system, antibiotic resistance has been increasing. Therefore, the goal of this study was to assess the level of antimicrobial resistance to anti-pseudomonas medicines, specifically β-lactam medications such as cephalosporin and carbapenems. In addition, we evaluate the prevalence of multi-drug resistance to , particularly during the years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nevertheless, despite this increase in patient involvement in diabetes prevention, there is scarce research regarding healthcare providers' perspectives on the active engagement of patients as health promoters for their family members. In light of this, we aimed to explore the perspectives of healthcare providers working at primary health clinics regarding patient involvement in diabetes prevention among their own family members and close relatives.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTuberculosis (TB) is a global burden to humanity due to its adverse effects on health and society since time is not clearly defined. The existence of drug-resistant strains and the potential threat posed by latent tuberculosis act as strong impetuses for developing novel anti-tuberculosis drugs. In this study, various flavonoids were tested against the Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) Isocitrate Lyase (ICL), which has been identified as an authorised therapeutic target for treating Mtb infection.

However, the existing approaches are unable to attain substantial levels of accuracy. Recently, pre-trained Deep Learning (DL) models have been applied to tackle and improve efficiency on tasks such as skin cancer detection instead of training models from scratch.

It concerns discovering the market's hidden patterns with respect to time to enable proactive decision-making and better futuristic insights. Recurrent neural network-based methods have been a prime candidate for solving complex and nonlinear sequences, including the task of modeling multivariate time series forecasts.

Myxopapillary ependymoma has a unique histological characteristic and is associated with a generally better prognosis.
Objective: We present a case of a rare multicentric myxopapillary ependymoma.
Recently, pre-trained deep learning (DL) models have been employed to tackle and enhance the performance on many tasks such as skin cancer detection instead of training models from scratch. However, the existing systems are unable to attain substantial levels of accuracy. Therefore, we propose, in this paper, a robust skin cancer detection framework for to improve the accuracy by extracting and learning relevant image representations using a MobileNetV3 architecture.

Spinal meningiomas account for up to 45% of all intradural spinal tumors in adults and up to 25%-45% of all spinal tumors. Spinal extradural meningiomas are rare and may be easily confused with malignant neoplasms.

In this study, a natural deep eutectic solvent (NADES) composed of menthol and formic acid at a molar ratio of 1 : 2 was prepared and used as an extraction solvent. The influencing variables on the extraction efficiency such as extraction solvent type and volume, composition of NADES, salt addition, vortex and centrifugation time were investigated.
