High-energy nuclear collisions create a quark-gluon plasma, whose initial condition and subsequent expansion vary from event to event, impacting the distribution of the eventwise average transverse momentum [P([p_{T}])]. Disentangling the contributions from fluctuations in the nuclear overlap size (geometrical component) and other sources at a fixed size (intrinsic component) remains a challenge. This problem is addressed by measuring the mean, variance, and skewness of P([p_{T}]) in ^{208}Pb+^{208}Pb and ^{129}Xe+^{129}Xe collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=5.

However, long-term immune response following up to the sixth dose of the messenger RNA vaccine has not been well studied.
Case Presentation: We longitudinally determined anti-spike protein immunoglobulin G antibody levels in a 69-year-old Japanese man 76 times (first to sixth dose) to investigate their dynamics.
The use of photoresponsive ligands to optically control proteins of interest, known as photopharmacology, is a powerful technique for elucidating cellular function in living cells and animals with a high spatiotemporal resolution. The adenosine A receptor (AR) is a G protein-coupled receptor that is expressed in various tissues; its dysregulation is implicated in severe diseases such as insomnia and Parkinson's disease. A detailed elucidation of the physiological function of AR is, therefore, highly desirable.

If observed, these rare processes would provide a unique test bench for the quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism used to calculate cross sections at colliders. Additionally, at future colliders, these decays could offer a new way to measure the W boson mass through fully reconstructed decay products.

At 95% confidence level (CL), the upper limit on the production rate is 2.9 times the standard model (SM) prediction, with an expected limit of 2.

The dataset used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector. Two fiducial regions with an enhanced presence of events featuring two longitudinally polarized bosons are defined.

Because of its central role in neurotransmitter signalling and neuroprotection, VMAT2 is a target for neurodegenerative diseases and movement disorders, with its inhibitor being used as therapeutics. Despite the importance of VMAT2 in pharmacophysiology, the molecular basis of VMAT2-mediated neurotransmitter transport and its inhibition remains unclear.

However, it is unclear whether distinguishing the origin should rely solely on PVC or incorporate sinus rhythm (SR). We compared the dual-rhythm model (incorporating both SR and PVC) to the PVC model (using PVC alone) and quantified the contribution of each ECG lead in predicting the PVC origin for each cardiac rotation.

To treat Parkinson's disease psychosis, pimavanserin (), a 5-HT receptor inverse agonist having minimal 5-HT receptor affinity and no dopamine D receptor affinity, was approved in the United States, but not for dementia-related psychosis due to limited efficacy issues. Herein, we report on the identification of a potent and dual 5-HT and 5-HT receptor inverse agonist having minimal hERG inhibition, after having demonstrated the involvement of both 5-HT and 5-HT receptors to deliver antipsychotic efficacy in an MK-801-induced locomotor model and having conducted 5-HT and 5-HT occupancy studies including a surrogate method.

Food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES) caused by fish and others is prevalent in the Mediterranean regions but is less frequently reported in Japan. This case report describes a 3-year-old Japanese girl who developed FPIES triggered by multiple seafoods, including swordfish, cod, and squid. The diagnosis was confirmed through oral food challenge tests (OFC), which led to repeated vomiting and an increase in thymus and activation-regulated chemokine (TARC) levels.

Searches targeting pure-wino chargino pair production, pure-wino chargino-neutralino production, or Higgsino production decaying via standard model W, Z, or h bosons are combined to extend the mass reach to the produced supersymmetric particles by 30-100 GeV. The depth of the sensitivity of the original searches is also improved by the combinations, lowering the 95% C.
