[Role of helical computed tomography in petrous bone trauma: about 12 cases at the University Hospital Ibn Rochd of Casablanca].

Temporal bone injuries occur in 14-22% of skull fractures occurring due to head trauma. The purpose of this study is to understand the role of helical computed tomography in petrous bone trauma and to show the different types of fractures and the associated lesions. We conducted a retrospective study of 12 patients with petrous bone trauma (including 10 men and 2 women) over a period of 14 months.

Management of delayed Sprengel malformation with intracanalar compressive omovertebral bone in a developing country's neurosurgery unit.

Sprengel deformity is a congenital abnormality done to the ascent of the scapular bone (which occurs probably between the 5th and 12th weeks of gestation). It can cause cosmetic or functional problems. The aim of our study was to describe this rare deformity, often neglected in our context, and its surgical management.

Understanding the policy environment for immunization supply chains: Lessons learned from landscape analyses in Uganda and Senegal.

As immunization programs around the world undergo rapid change and expansion, supply chain and logistics systems have become strained, making it increasingly challenging for national public health systems to provide reliable, safe, and efficient access to vaccines. Governments and immunization partners have been aware of this problem for several years, and in 2010, the World Health Organization (WHO) launched the Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) process to help countries identify shortcomings in their immunization supply chains and develop plans for systematic improvement. EVM improvement plans now exist in all Gavi-eligible countries plus many middle- and upper-income countries; however, implementation has been slow and in many cases fraught with financial, managerial, structural, and political roadblocks.

[Giant compressive mediastinal lipoma: a case report].

Mediastinal lipoma is a rare mesenchymatous fatty tumor in child. Usually asymptomatic, it can cause asphyxiation. The authors report the case of an 18 month-baby-girl referred to us by the pediatric department for asphyxiation.

[Cadaveric topography and morphometry of the vermiform appendix].

Our study justified by the frequency of acute appendicitis and the possibility of anatomic variations of the caecoappendicular area attempt to index the topographic variations of the vermiform appendix (v.a.).

[Sternoclavicular dislocations: clinical and therapeutic study. A report of 9 cases].

Sterno-clavicular dislocations represent an uncommon pathology in shoulder trauma. The authors describe the anatomical and clinical forms observed between January 1999 and December 2002, and evaluate the treatment process. The retrospective study addressed 9 patients (men only) with an average age of 26.

[The superficial temporal artery: anatomical type and clinical application to the flap of the fascia temporal superficialis].

The goal of our study is to assess the anatomical type of the superficial temporal artery (STA) in the black population using the classification of Ricbourg et al.. Forty-seven fresh cadavers and three extracted and frozen heads were included in this study.

Immunocytochemistry of gonadotropic cells in the pituitary of Pomadasys jubelini (teleost fish).

An antibody specific for the beta subunit of carp gonadotropin was applied to pituitary sections from Pomadasys jubelini in order to characterize and localize the gonadotropic cells by immunocytological means. It reveals the gonadotropic zone lying mainly at the periphery of the proximal pars distalis with lateral extensions around the pars intermedia. The separation between the pars proximalis and the pars intermedia is irregular.
