Background: Pathogenesis of seborrheic dermatitis involves lipid secretion by sebaceous glands, Malassezia colonization, and an inflammatory response with skin barrier disruption. Each of these pathways could be modulated by diet, obesity, and nutritional supplements. Current treatment options provide only temporary control of the condition; thus, it is essential to recognize modifiable lifestyle factors that may play a role in determining disease severity.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFThis review aimed to evaluate the mechanism of premature cardiovascular disease (CVD) in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients, particularly in the female population, and emphasize the need for early management interventions; explore the association between SLE and two autoimmune diseases, myasthenia gravis (MG) and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS), and their management strategies; and evaluate the effectiveness of pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions in managing SLE, focusing on premenopausal females, females of childbearing age, and pregnant patients. We conducted a comprehensive literature review to achieve these objectives using various databases, including PubMed, Google Scholar, and Cochrane. The collected data were analyzed and synthesized to provide an evidence-based overview of SLE, its management strategies as an independent disease, and some disease associations.

The identity, stoichiometric quantity, and sequence position of these unusual epitranscriptomic marks are central to their function, making analytical methods that are capable of accurate and reproducible measurements paramount to the characterization of the neuro-epitranscriptome. RNA sequencing-based methods and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) techniques have been leveraged to provide an early glimpse of the landscape of RNA modifications in bulk CNS tissues.

Cariprazine is a piperazine derivative approved by the USFDA in 2015 as a novel atypical antipsychotic drug (APD) to treat adults with schizophrenia and bipolar manic or mixed episodes in adults. However, due to the partial agonist action on dopamine D, D receptors, and serotonin 5-HT receptors as well as the antagonist effect on 5-HT, 5-HT, and H receptors, cariprazine differs pharmacologically from other APDs, both typical and atypical. Moreover, cariprazine also has a unique pharmacokinetic profile due to the formation of two clinically significant metabolites: desmethyl-cariprazine (DCAR) and desmethyl-cariprazine (DDCAR).
