The gut microbiome plays a critical role in the development, progression, and treatment of cancer. As interest in microbiome-immune-cancer interactions expands, the prevalence of fecal microbial transplant (FMT) models has increased proportionally. However, current literature does not provide adequate details or consistent approaches to allow for necessary rigor and experimental reproducibility.

Its dysfunction leads to anomalies, including reduced centrioles and mosaic-variegated aneuploidy syndrome. Despite functional investigations, understanding structural aspects and their correlation with functions is partial till date.

Therefore, we investigated the correlation between genetic alterations and survival in 282 GBM IDH-WT patients, to identify subgroups with distinct outcomes.
Methods: We reviewed characteristics of GBM IDH-WT (2009-2019) patients analyzed by next-generation sequencing interrogating 205 genes and 26 rearrangements.
Introduction: Glioblastomas (GBMs) usually occur as a solitary lesion; however, about 0.5-35% present with multiple lesions (M-GBM). The genetic landscape of GBMs have been thoroughly investigated; nevertheless, differences between M-GBM and single-foci GBM (S-GBM) remains unclear.

Thanks to advances in the understanding of these cancers at the molecular level and to the discovery of several disease-modifying therapeutics, the last decade has seen a plateauing or even a decreasing trend in the number of deaths from these cancers. These advanced therapeutics not only effectively slow the growth of hormonal cancers, but also provide an insight on how these cancers become refractory and evolve as an altogether distinct subset.
