Unraveling the Pharmaceutical Benefits of Freshly Prepared Amino Acid-Based Schiff Bases Via DFT, In Silico Molecular Docking and ADMET.

A series of amino acid-based Schiff bases have been synthesized using a facile condensation between benzil (a diketone) and amino acid in the presence of a base. The formation of Schiff base compounds has been ensured by elemental analysis, FT-IR, H-NMR, C-NMR and UV-Vis. spectra.

Fluorescence Titrations of Bio-relevant Complexes with DNA: Synthesis, Structural Investigation, DNA Binding/Cleavage, Antimicrobial and Molecular Docking Studies.

In the present work, we attempted to develop new metal complexes (Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II)) of the imine ligand which was synthesized from 9,10-phenanthrenequinone and para-anisidine. With an intention to make the complexes most stable, very special chelating amino acid has been coordinated to the metal centre. The resultant metal complexes have been characterized by variety of techniques including FT-IR, UV-Vis.

Antimicrobial efficacy of phenanthrenequinone based Schiff base complexes incorporating methionine amino acid: structural elucidation and in vitro bio assay.

This work focuses the synthesis and characterization of few novel mixed ligand Schiff base metal complexes and their biological activities. For deriving the structural aspects, spectral techniques such as FT-IR, UV-Vis., (1)H NMR, Raman, EPR and the physicochemical characterizations including elemental analysis, molar conductance and magnetic susceptibility method have been involved.
