Dengue fever, an arboviral illness, exhibits a broad range of symptoms, ranging from flu-like symptoms to serious hemorrhagic complications. Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is an uncommon pathological state caused by excessive activation of the immune system, culminating in organ dysfunction. HLH can be primary or secondary, with infection being the most common cause.

We present the third case of idiopathic PPFE from India, as well as the second ante-mortem diagnosis. A 27-year-old man presented with a 1-year history of modified Medical Research Council class II shortness of breath and dry cough.

Moreover, donors in pediatric liver transplantation (LT) are usually parents who need to recover quickly to take care of the child. There are inherent limitations to conventional laparoscopic surgery including surgeon's experience with advanced laparoscopic surgery and steep learning curve which limits the wide application of minimal invasive donor hepatectomy.

The contamination of freshwater leads to various issues for microorganisms and humans. This paper proposes a novel method to remove excess copper from the water.

Materials And Methods: Two different posterior indirect restorative materials of ten in each Group-I (Monolithic zirconia) (n = 10) and Group-II (Cast cobalt chromium) (n = 10) were formed into disc and used as a substrate for the wear test. Freshly extracted mandibular first premolars were used as a pin (antagonist) (n = 20).
Although esophageal cancers have poor survival outcomes, evidence suggests that preoperative chemoradiation followed by surgery have improved survival outcomes. Minimally invasive surgery has equivalent oncological outcomes with less complication compared with open surgery, but there is insufficient data available in South Indian population. Our aim was to analyze the perioperative outcome and survival between minimally invasive and open transhiatal esophagectomy group.

A new method was developed to synthesise the NPs, wherein Ag nitrate mixed with sodium (Na) metaphosphate and reduced using Na borohydride. Finally, CHX digluconate was added to form the hybrid NPs.

This paper presents a low cost solar powered vehicle for physically challenged persons. Generally, the persons with physical disabilities restrict their movement within a house or building due to their dependence on other people for their outdoor work. The disabled people use their limbs to drive the wheelchairs which physically stress them.

The ductility and formability of these materials is significantly limited by the activation of prevalent deformation twinning. Twins in HCP polycrystals usually nucleate at grain boundaries (GBs), propagate into the grain, and they either terminate at opposing GBs (isolated-twins) or transmit into a neighboring grain (adjoining-twin-pairs: ATPs).

The local stress fields associated with twinning play a key role on deformation behavior and fracture but are extremely difficult to characterize experimentally. In this study, we perform synchrotron experiments with differential-aperture X-ray microscopy to measure the 3D stress fields in the vicinity of a twin with a spatial resolution of 0.

The generalized stacking fault energy surfaces associated with shearing on nine distinct crystallographic slip modes in the hexagonal ω-Zr crystal are calculated, from which characteristics such as ideal shear stress, the dislocation Burgers vector, and possible accompanying atomic shuffles, are extracted. Comparison of energy barriers and ideal shear stresses suggests that the favorable modes are prismatic 〈c〉, prismatic-II [Formula: see text] and pyramidal-II 〈c + a〉, which are distinct from the ground state hexagonal close packed α phase of Zr.

Material strength and formability are critical qualities for shaping these materials into parts and a pervasive deformation mechanism that significantly affects their formability is deformation twinning. The interaction between grain boundaries and twins has an important influence on the deformation behaviour and fracture of hcp metals.

PRF is the next generation of platelet concentrates equipped to improve arrangement without biochemical blood handling; PRF is an evolution of the fibrin adhesive, which is widely used in the oral surgery. The guidelines of this innovation depend on concentrating platelets and growth factors in a plasma medium, and initiating them in a fibrin gel, keeping in mind the end goal to enhance the healing of wounds.

Stromal myofibroblasts play an important role in tumor invasion and metastasis, due to its ability to modify the extracellular matrix. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the presence of myofibroblasts in normal mucosa, early invasive carcinoma and different grades of OSCC.

Whereas novel doping methods such as plasma doping are presently exploited to meet these goals, their application needs to be coupled with new metrology approaches such as atom probe tomography, which provides the 3D-dopant distribution with atomic resolution. In order to highlight the relevant processes in terms of dopant conformality, 3D-diffusion, dopant activation and dopant clustering, in this paper we report on 3D-doping and diffusion phenomena in silicon FinFET devices.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFWith the transition from planar to three-dimensional device architectures such as Fin field-effect-transistors (FinFETs), new metrology approaches are required to meet the needs of semiconductor technology. It is important to characterize the 3D-dopant distributions precisely as their extent, positioning relative to gate edges and absolute concentration determine the device performance in great detail. At present the atom probe has shown its ability to analyze dopant distributions in semiconductor and thin insulating materials with sub-nm 3D-resolution and good dopant sensitivity.

It is predicted that at 10% Sn concentration or even lower, unstrained Ge(1-x)Sn(x) will exhibit a direct band gap. Moreover, in strained Ge(1-x)Sn(x) the expected concentration of Sn for this cross-over is even lower.
