Introduction: There is a paucity of prevalence data for genital angiokeratomas in adults. The objective of this article is to determine prevalence of genital angiokeratomas in adults as a function of sex, age, and race/ethnicity.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted over 11 months during 2013 and 2014 using a convenience sample of adult men and women consenting to genital examination during melanoma screening and surveillance by a senior dermatologist in an outpatient clinic.

Importance: The presence of numerous melanocytic nevi is a significant melanoma risk factor, but there are scant data related to prevalence and morphologic features of melanocytic nevi in the perianal area. The prognosis of perianal melanoma is often dismal because of hidden location and diagnosis delay.

Objective: To determine prevalence and morphologic features of perianal melanocytic nevi.

Exfoliative erythroderma is a rare presentation of psoriasis in children and adults. We report a 9-year-old girl with exfoliative erythroderma secondary to plaque-type psoriasis who developed hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression resulting from topical treatment with a medium-potency glucocorticoid. This case emphasizes the need for awareness of this potentially life-threatening complication of topical glucocorticoid use, particularly in patients who have significant compromise of barrier function secondary to widespread skin disease.

The care of patients who have cutaneous melanoma (CM) has undergone a dramatic change during the past five decades. In an increasing majority of cases, CM is being discovered in a premetastatic phase of tumor progression. Most patients are being treated in the ambulatory setting with a minimum of inconvenience and economic cost, and modest re-excision margins have largely replaced the mutilating surgical exonerations that were once standard only four decades ago.

Macular pigmentation of Laugier and Hunziker is an acquired disorder involving lips, oral mucosa, acral surfaces, nail apparatus, or a combination of these in the absence of systemic disease, and is reported to show intraepidermal melanosis without melanocytosis. We present a 69-year-old white man with typical features of this disorder, involving lips and oral mucosa, first appearing 4 years before presentation. A pigmented macule on sun-exposed lip vermilion revealed increased numbers of slightly atypical melanocytes in a lentiginous epidermal pattern.
