The purpose of this study was to compare the photographic Frankfort plane subnasale pogonion (FSA) angle with established cephalometric parameters to determine the accuracy of the angle in determining maxillomandibular anteroposterior discrepancies.
Materials And Methods: In this prospective study, a total of 60 subjects, 20 in each skeletal sagittal malocclusion, were included in the final sample based on the selection criteria.
Objective: The objective of this review is to systematically analyze the available literature on the effects of titanium oxide (TiO₂) coating on the antimicrobial properties, surface characteristics, and cytotoxicity of orthodontic brackets.
Methods: In-vitro studies reporting on the effects of Titanium oxide (TiO₂) coatings on antimicrobial properties, surface roughness, cytotoxic activity and bacterial adhesion of orthodontic brackets were included in the review. Electronic databases such as PubMed, SCOPUS, Web of Science and Google Scholar, were searched till September 2022.
Background: Dentists play an important role in caries prevention by delivering preventive care, educating patients, and buying related products; it is critical to recognize what they know and believe about caries prevention, as well as how they use caries prevention interventions.
Materials And Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in South India between January 2021 and February 2021 to determine the dentists' knowledge, attitude, and practice of prescribing preventive strategies and remineralizing agents for caries prevention. A questionnaire including 11 self-administered, prestructured questions was made and distributed through electronic media.
Context: Sodium hypochlorite, a gold standard for irrigation in endodontics, has disadvantages like toxicity and root dentin weakening. Alternatives derived from natural products are being explored.
Aims: This systematic review was done to understand the clinical benefits of natural irrigants when compared with a standard irrigant, sodium hypochlorite.
Objective: To determine the effect of adhesive strategy (total etch or self-etch) of universal adhesives in non-carious cervical lesions.
Data Source: A search was made in PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane, Web Of Science, Open Gray, Clinical Registries.
Data Selection: Randomized Controlled Clinical Trials, studies on non-carious cervical lesions restored using Universal Adhesives, and studies in which universal adhesives have been used in total etch and self -etch strategies were included in this systematic review.
