[Comparative characteristics of M-cholinolytics in combined treatment of mixed urinary incontinence in women].

Laparoscopic retropubic urethropexy by Birch was followed by chemotherapy with m-cholinolytics in 30 women with mixed urinary incontinence. 15 patients received trospium chloride in a daily dose 30-45 mg and the other 15--oxibutinin hydrochloride in a daily dose 10-15 mg. A comparative analysis of the treatment results after 36 months of follow-up demonstrated higher safety of trospium chloride which showed the same efficacy with oxibutinin hydrochloride.

[Combined reperfusion in patients with acute myocardial infarction].

Using electron microscopic techniques, we investigated bioptats of the ovaries of patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome after treatment with clostilbegit, which exerted only insignificant effects. We observed an increases in the intensify of proliferation of the connective tissue elements in the ovaries with the involvement of immunopathological processes against the background of tissue and circulatory hypoxia.

[Nitrogen oxide in the pathogenesis of glaucoma and cataract].

The content of nitrite (final metabolite of nitroradical) was measured in aqueous humor of patients with glaucoma and cataract. The level of NO formation is increased at the initial stage of glaucoma and decreases with the disease progress. A girl aged 14 years had a severe electric injury after contact with an earth electrode of a high voltage power transformer. [Crystallography of the lacrimal fluid as a method for predicting the risk of developing cataract in patients with primary glaucoma].

Results of crystallographic analysis of the lacrimal fluid in patients with glaucoma combined with cataract are analyzed. The characteristic features of lacrimal crystallograms of such patients consist in changed ratio of the crystallization zones with disappearance of the intermediate zone and appearance of stellate structures on crystallograms of patients with progressing cataracts. The method of lacrimal crystallography is suggested to be used in examinations of patients with glaucoma.

[Permeability of blood-eye barrier in patients with primary glaucoma combined with lens opacity].

The development of glaucoma involves changes in the chamber humor caused by hydrodynamic disorders. Primary glaucoma is often combined with lens opacities. Comparison of the content of protein and protein fractions in aqueous humor and blood serum of patients with glaucoma and different degree of lens opacity showed that, in contrast to senile cataract, cataract in a glaucomatous eye forms when the permeability of the blood-eye barrier is increased, which justifies the administration of drugs stabilizing it.

[Permeability of blood-aqueous humor barrier in primary open-angle glaucoma].

Biochemical changes in the chamber humor play an important role in the pathogenesis of primary open-angle glaucoma and are largely determined by the permeability of the blood-eye barrier. Comparative study of total protein content in the chamber humor in mature and far advanced glaucoma showed that the disease involves a progressive increase in the permeability of the blood-aqueous humor barrier, which may be due to dystrophic changes in ocular tissues in the course of glaucoma progress and accumulation of metabolites damaging the biological membranes in the chamber fluid or to antiglaucoma drugs increasing the permeability of the blood-humor barrier.

[The clinical and immunogenetic characteristics of reactive arthritis in children].

Altogether 52 children suffering from reactive arthritis were placed under observation. In 45 patients arthritis developed after nasopharyngeal infection and was marked by a favourable course with a rapid positive dynamics. 7 children with a history of intestinal infection manifested Reiter's syndrome; in these children arthritis was characterized by a grave and prolonged course and by a high laboratory activity.

[Adrenergic regulation of contractile activity of smooth muscles in umbilical vessels].

The effect of agonists and antagonists of alpha- and beta-adrenoreceptors on mechanical properties of the smooth muscle was studied in the isolated muscle strips of the human umbilical artery and vein. Noradrenaline was shown to cause the contraction of smooth muscles of the umbilical vein. Tonic and phase components in the contraction process were observed.

[Molecular mobility of soluble collagen].

Conformation structure of soluble collagen in anhydrous form, films and gels was studied by broad line NMR. An analysis of spectra points to partial ordering of polymer chains in the films and possible formation of secondary structure of collagen molecules by alpha-helix type. Distinction of gel spectra from those of films is explained by unordered rotation movements of the chain fragments at the expense of "superspiralization" of collagen molecules.
