Handheld LiDAR scanners, which typically consist of a LiDAR sensor, Inertial Measurement Unit, and processor, enable data capture while moving, offering flexibility for various applications, including indoor and outdoor 3D mapping in fields such as architecture and civil engineering. Unlike fixed LiDAR systems, handheld devices allow data collection from different angles, but this mobility introduces challenges in data quality, particularly when initial calibration between sensors is not precise. Accurate LiDAR-IMU calibration, essential for mapping accuracy in Simultaneous Localization and Mapping applications, involves precise alignment of the sensors' extrinsic parameters.

We hypothesized that different childhood wheezing phenotypes have varying longitudinal outcomes at age 26. We sought to identify factors associated with wheezing persistence, clinical remission, and new onset in adulthood.

This study presents a novel Internet of Things (IoT)-driven intelligent decision-making system that dynamically monitors and optimizes water quality parameters to enhance fish survival rates across various regions and species setups. The system integrates advanced sensors connected to an ESP32 microcontroller, continuously monitoring key water parameters such as pH, temperature, and turbidity which are increasingly affected by climate-induced variability.

Traditional breath-held imaging protocols, however, pose challenges for patients with arrhythmias or limited breath-holding capacity. We introduce Motion-Guided Deep Image prior (M-DIP), a novel unsupervised reconstruction framework for accelerated real-time cardiac MRI.

It employs a kernel function to measure the similarities between sample pairs, effectively identifying significant exposures and assessing their nonlinear impacts on outcomes. This article introduces an enhanced framework, the generalized Bayesian kernel machine regression.

Because of adverse symptoms and socioecologic barriers, AET adherence rates are low. We conducted post hoc analyses of a randomized trial of a remote symptom and adherence monitoring app to evaluate characteristics associated with higher app use, satisfaction, and how app use was associated with AET adherence.

Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is known for its highly contagious properties among cloven-hoofed animals resulting in significant morbidity rates. Incursions of this disease have caused significant losses in affected countries in Southeast Asia and Africa, even within EU countries which resulted in significant financial losses. This study is aimed at addressing existing limitations by creating a diagnostic method using aptamer-based assay.

For this purpose, sulfhydryl-modified β-CD was synthesized by replacing all primary and secondary -OH groups at the β-CD backbone with sulfhydryl groups via a novel microwave-assisted technique. Afterward, sulfhydryl-modified β-CD was complexed with silymarin and characterized by FTIR and H NMR spectroscopy.

Assessment of trauma-induced hemorrhage with ultrasound is particularly challenging outside of the clinic, where its detection is crucial. The current clinical standard for hematoma detection - the focused assessment with sonography of trauma (FAST) exam - does not aim to detect ongoing blood loss, and thus is unable to detect injuries of increasing severity. To enhance detection of active bleeding, we propose the use of ultrasound contrast agents (UCAs), together with a novel flow phantom and contrast-sensitive processing techniques, to facilitate efficient, practical characterization of internal bleeding.

Nutraceuticals have been explored as an innovative strategy to overcome chemotherapy drawbacks. However, the clinical utility of nutraceuticals is restricted due to their complex structures, less water solubility, reduced stability, decreased bioavailability and more obstacles in the gastrointestinal tract.

However, the classic classroom setting limits real-life exposure for students. Simulation-based learning may improve the learning experience without exposing the students to unnecessary risks.

They compromise the supportive structures of teeth and are influenced by both local and systemic factors. This study aimed to systematically assess the impact of systemic conditions on periodontal health in Malaysian population, addressing the gap in understanding these factors as potential risk factors.

Autophagy starts from the moment of induction during the formation of a phagophore. Degradation may occur in the autophagosomes even without fusion with lysosome or vacuole, particularly in microautophagosomes.

The evaluation was on the basis of the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire, body mass index, lipid profile, body fat and correlation of blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturation, respiration rate and heart rate with cardiorespiratory fitness assessed through shuttle-run test, step test and treadmill test. Data was analysed using SPSS 25.

Normally cotton is known as heat tolerant when compared with other crops, but if the high temperature occurs during flowering period the yield decreases significantly. Marker assisted gene pyramiding provides a sustainable solution to improve heat tolerance.

It is necessary to monitor it in detail and uncover its underlying factors at a regional scale. In this context, the present study aimed to evaluate soil health in the eastern Mediterranean region by using the Sodium Adsorption Ratio (SAR) as an indicator of soil salinity in three distinct soil horizons.

We used a postpublication dataset made available by the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplantation Research including patients who were ≥65 years in age with PCNSL and underwent autoHCT as consolidation with TBC or BCNU/Thio conditioning. Out of 147 patients; n = 84 received BCNU/Thio and n = 63 received TBC.
