JNJ-37822681 is a potent, specific and fast dissociating dopamine D2 receptor antagonist intended for the treatment of schizophrenia. Its nonclinical toxicological profile was investigated in a series of general repeat dose toxicity studies in cynomolgus monkeys and Sprague-Dawley rats. The maximum duration of treatment was 9 and 6 months, respectively.

The pipeline was developed and installed according to the current UK regulations HTM 2022, which relates to the supply of piped medical gases. Where HTM 2022 did not specify the appropriate standard, we consulted widely to achieve a safe solution.

Baseline SaO2 was lower during infection (median 99.6 vs 100%, p less than 0.

One hundred ten infants (69%) underwent a second recording 6 weeks later. Median baseline SaO2 during regular breathing was 99.

No infant was given additional inspired oxygen during the study. The median baseline SaO2 was 99.

The median baseline SaO2 during regular breathing was 99.8% (range 97.

Fifteen recordings were obtained on 15 infants who subsequently suffered sudden infant death syndrome. None showed lengthening of QT intervals sufficient to warrant the description of 'long QT syndrome'.

Eight infants (0.7%) had episodes of apnea greater than 30 seconds in duration, all of which were accompanied by bradycardia less than 100 beats per minute; 25 infants (2.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA case of eosinophilic granuloma involving bone and lung in a patient with Hodgkin disease is reported. The lesion appeared several months after the patient had completed a course of chemotherapy. The single bony lesion was resected and the pulmonary lesions disappeared spontaneously.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTwo neonates with arrhythmias and the long QT syndrome are described. The arrhythmias were detected in utero and both infants were apparently well after birth. The first infant, although well, had a bradycardia for the first 9 days of life.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA survey of the vitamin D status of Bradford schoolchildren was carried out in April 1973, employing conventional biochemistry, radiology, and measurement of 25-hydroxycholecalciferol levels. Biochemical evidence of rickets was present in 45% of the Asians. When re-examined in September, several children showed spontaneous biochemical resolution; nevertheless, radiological abnormalities were present in 12% of the original sample.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe accepted management of Hodgkin's disease has changed markedly in the past two decades. It should be considered a tumor of unifocal origin and potentially one of the most curable cancers, given early diagnosis, careful evaluation, meticulously accurate staging and aggressive, radical treatment. This requires a team effort, is tedious and expensive, and morbidity and mortality remain significant, but the high yield of long remissions and apparent cures justifies this approach to the problem.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA patient with Crigler-Najjar disease has survived with the help of phototherapy to the age of 2 years without neurological damage. Because long periods of phototherapy are a threat to normal development, a search was made for supplementary treatments. Cholestyramine and a high fat diet were effective, and possibly also aspartic acid.
