This case report highlights a complication of pneumothorax associated with dry needling (DN), a technique used for the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome and musculoskeletal disorders. Despite its growing popularity and efficacy in relieving pain, dry needling can lead to adverse events. We present a case of a 35-year-old female who developed pneumothorax following a dry needling session.

In the current study, we have investigated the impact of OS in PD by measuring the antioxidant glutathione (GSH) levels from the substantia nigra (SN), left hippocampus (LH) and neurotransmitter γ-amino butyric acid (GABA) levels from SN region.

Various neuroimaging-based databases have been developed that mainly consist of volumetric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data. We present the comprehensive web-based neuroimaging platform "SWADESH" for hosting multi-disease, multimodal neuroimaging, and neuropsychological data along with analytical pipelines.

Prevalence of antibiotic-resistant Gram-negative bacteria having extended-spectrum β-lactamase phenotypes in polluted irrigation-purpose wastewaters from Indian agro-ecosystems.

Antibiotic resistance in bacteria has emerged as a serious public health threat worldwide. Aquatic environments including irrigation-purpose wastewaters facilitate the emergence and transmission of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and antibiotic resistance genes leading to detrimental effects on human health and environment sustainability. Considering the paramount threat of ever-increasing antibiotic resistance to human health, there is an urgent need for continuous environmental monitoring of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and antibiotic resistance genes in wastewater being used for irrigation in Indian agro-ecosystems.

Endovascular approach to a complex thrombus in-transit through a patent foramen ovale.

Unlabelled: Large atrial thrombi can be managed percutaneously. We present a case of a 76-year-old female patient who presented to our emergency room with an acute stroke and was managed with mechanical thrombectomy. Further work-up revealed a large complex thrombus in-transit trapped in a patent foramen ovale with a large mobile portion in the left atrium.

Angiotensin Receptor-Neprilysin Inhibitor Therapy and Cardiac Remodeling in Heart Failure: Consensus Statement from India.

The guideline-directed medical therapy for Heart failure (HF) includes Angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) (sacubitril/valsartan), β-blockers, sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors, and mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRA). ARNI is under-prescribed in India despite its attractive safety and efficacy profile.

Iron deficiency (ID) with or without anemia is frequently observed in patients with heart failure (HF). Uncorrected ID is associated with higher hospitalization and mortality in patients with acute HF (AHF) and chronic HF (CHF). Hence, in addition to chronic renal insufficiency, anemia, and diabetes, ID appears as a novel comorbidity and a treatment target of CHF.

Microalgae in Bioplastic Production: A Comprehensive Review.

The current era of industrialization includes a constantly increasing demand for plastic products, but because plastics are rarely recycled and are not biodegradable plastic pollution or "white pollution" has been the result. The consumption of petroleum-based plastics will be 20% of global annual oil by 2050, and thus there is an inevitable need to find an innovative solution to reduce plastic pollution. The biodegradable and environmentally benign bioplastics are suitable alternative to fossil-based plastics in the market due to sustainability, less carbon footprint, lower toxicity and high degradability rate.

Brain Imaging Databases.

The availability of neuroimaging-based databases is helping immensely to understand the brain function in healthy and diseased conditions. This viewpoint highlights the objectives, commonalities, and differences within these existing databases and pointers for researchers to choose a particular database. We introduce a multimodal multidisease database, SWADESH, and its comparison with the existing databases.
