Background: Since the inception of the ASHAs in the year 2005, their work horizons have increased from Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent health (RMNCH + A), Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases (CD & NCD) to oral health, ophthalmologic care, and other supportive community level healthcare services. The present literature lacks comprehensive understanding and synthesis of domain-wise knowledge of ASHAs and the factors affecting their knowledge. Therefore, this study aimed to synthesize and collate the relevant evidence to understand the overall knowledge of ASHAs.

This is a case report involving a 28-year-old female who presented with intense right-sided chest pain and breathlessness after an acupuncture session where needles were inserted into her chest wall. The immediate medical evaluation revealed a tension pneumothorax with radiographic evidence of a mediastinal shift, compelling, urgent intervention via chest tube insertion.

Six pilot scale biofilters containing three different granular activated carbons (GAC), two anthracite, and one sand media were run for 133 days to examine their Mn removal performance at a drinking water utility, while also monitoring ATP and bacterial growth as indicators of biological activity. Key findings demonstrate the critical role of media characteristics, especially for GAC media.

The methodology involves: segmentation of the lungs and major airways from patient CT images; a volume filling algorithm that creates a dichotomous airway network in the remaining volume of the lung; an estimate of resistance and compliance within the lung based on Hounsfield unit values from the CT scan; and a computational fluid dynamics model to analyse flow, lung inflation, and pressure throughout the airway network. Mechanically ventilated patients with differing progression and severity of the disease were simulated.

Computational models now enable a detailed analysis of how pregnancy affects the cardiovascular system. Therefore, new non-invasive biomarkers were developed that can aid the classification of pre-eclampsia through the integration of six different measured non-invasive cardiovascular signals.

However, it has not been tested on an examination such as the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Standardized Oral Examination (SOE). The SOE is designed to assess higher-level competencies, such as judgment, organization, adaptability to unexpected clinical changes, and presentation of information.

Background: This case report demonstrates the effective clinical application of a 3D-printed, patient-specific polycaprolactone (PCL) resorbable scaffold for staged alveolar bone augmentation.
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of a 3D-printed PCL scaffold in facilitating alveolar bone regeneration and subsequent dental implant placement.
Materials And Methods: A 46-year-old man with a missing tooth (11) underwent staged alveolar bone augmentation using a patient-specific PCL scaffold.
Introduction: In the realm of computational pathology, the scarcity and restricted diversity of genitourinary (GU) tissue datasets pose significant challenges for training robust diagnostic models. This study explores the potential of Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to mitigate these limitations by generating high-quality synthetic images of rare or underrepresented GU tissues. We hypothesized that augmenting the training data of computational pathology models with these GAN-generated images, validated through pathologist evaluation and quantitative similarity measures, would significantly enhance model performance in tasks such as tissue classification, segmentation, and disease detection.

Based on structural insights of ACE2 and S proteins, we designed a "muco-trapping" ACE2-Fc conjugate, termed ACE2-(GS)-Fc, comprised of the extracellular segment of ACE2 (lacking the C-terminal collectrin domain) that is linked to mucin-binding IgG1-Fc via an extended glycine-serine flexible linker. ACE2-(GS)-Fc exhibits substantially greater binding affinity and neutralization potency than conventional full length ACE2-Fc decoys or similar truncated ACE2-Fc decoys without flexible linkers, possessing picomolar binding affinity and strong neutralization potency against pseudovirus and live virus.

In our society, the husband is mostly responsible for making the decision regarding any expenses. In India, there is a need to reduce the maternal mortality rate, and Husband's involvement in antenatal care could be a key to success as it will enable them to support their partner in adequate preparation for birth and to utilize emergency obstetric care early if complications arise.

Whereas the enduring impact of ELA on cognitive and emotional health is established, there are no tools to predict vulnerability to ELA consequences in an individual child. Epigenetic markers including peripheral-cell DNA-methylation profiles may encode ELA and provide predictive outcome markers, yet the interindividual variance of the human genome and rapid changes in DNA methylation in childhood pose significant challenges.

Nowadays, numerous retrofitting techniques are available in the construction sector. Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) is one of the efficient rehabilitation measures that can be implemented on corroded structures to enhance structural capacities.

The diverse clinical presentation complicates forming anticoagulation treatment guidelines. This meta-analysis aimed to investigate the incidence of DVST post-VS surgery and to evaluate the role of anticoagulation.

Understanding the impact of obesity on placental structure and function as well as fetal growth and infant outcomes is important to improve the care of these potentially high-risk pregnancies. This study aimed to determine the effect of elevated maternal BMI on histopathologic patterns of placental injury and its consequences on fetal growth.

IL-33 is found in oligodendrocytes and astrocytes and is involved in central nervous system healing and repair, whereas ST2 is found in microglia and astrocytes. Some studies have found a link between changes in the IL-33/ST2 pathway and neurodegenerative disorders.
