Fibromyalgia is a common musculoskeletal condition that affects up to 3% of the worldwide population. Its pathogenesis is not entirely clear but is thought to involve neurogenic inflammation as well as aberrations in peripheral nerves and central pain mechanisms. It is believed that the same mechanism that causes hypersensitivity and pain in patients with fibromyalgia also predisposes them to pruritus.

Objective: To study the long-term results of surgical treatment of patients operated on for cerebral aneurysms and their impact on functional recovery, independence and cognitive functions in the long-term period.
Material And Methods: A multivariate regression analysis of long-term results of surgical treatment of 324 patients for cerebral aneurysms was performed (on average after 3.5 years).
Prcis: A literature review of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) energy dose-response found no definitive relationship between intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction with respect to total or pulse energy, race, pigmentation, or application pattern.
Purpose: SLT is a safe and effective treatment for lowering IOP. Although evidence is mounting for the advantage of its use as a first-line treatment for IOP reduction, the SLT procedures in use vary widely.
We report a case of an intracranial aneurysm of the left posterior inferior cerebellar artery, which was treated with a flow-diverting stent. One year later at follow-up, the patient presented with new symptoms due to mass effect in the posterior fossa and a 3-fold enlargement of the aneurysm. Digital subtraction angiography showed an increase in size of the aneurysm with jet flow into the sac.

By examining the trajectories of the three main behavioral therapy associations in France, Switzerland, and Belgium, we show that it is not possible to subsume them under a common intellectual history. Despite the importance of theoretical debates in the emergence of this brand of psychotherapy in English-speaking countries, adherence to this type of explanation falls short of accounting for the differential reception of behavioral therapies in these countries.

Increasing evidence for an association between retinal microvascular signs and kidney disease prompted us to investigate the relevant current literature on such an association systematically by performing a meta-analysis of our findings.
Methods: We scrutinized the current literature by searching PubMed and Embase databases from for clinical studies of the association between retinal microvascular signs and prevalent or incident kidney disease.

Objective: To assess whether a surgeon's level of training is associated with outcomes in pediatric tonsillectomy.
Design: A retrospective cohort study of the outcomes of pediatric tonsillectomies performed between 2006 and 2016 by senior surgeons versus resident surgeons under the supervision of senior surgeons.
Setting: An otolaryngology department in a tertiary academic hospital.
The substantial burden of heart disease promotes an interest in new ways of screening for early disease diagnosis, especially by means of noninvasive imaging. Increasing evidence for association between retinal microvascular signs and heart disease prompted us to systematically investigate the relevant current literature on the subject. We scrutinized the current literature by searching PubMed and Embase databases from 2000 to 2020 for clinical studies of the association between retinal microvascular signs and prevalent or incident heart disease in humans.

Background: Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage secondary to ruptured small dissecting fusiform aneurysms of the posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) is rare and particularly challenging. Different treatment strategies have been reported in these rare cases. We report 2 patients treated with a novel endovascular approach.

Revascularization of the affected cerebral territory improves the prognosis and reduces mortality, which has been proven by randomized studies using systemic thrombolysis protocols. Over the last ten years, endovascular mechanical thrombus extraction using stent retrievers and/or aspiration neurointerventional catheters has been introduced into the clinical treatment of ischemic stroke, and after reporting the results of randomized studies on this topic, the technique has become ubiquitous.

The main physiological mechanisms that determine secondary brain damage in this patients are intracranial hypertension, cerebral vasospasm, dysfunction of autoregulation mechanisms, violation of liquorodynamics and delayed cerebral ischemia. The multimodal neuromonitoring for prevention and timely correction ofsecondary brain injury factors has become routine practice in neuroICU.

The terminal differentiation of B lymphocytes into plasma cells is executed by a network of transcription factors that cross-regulate each other in order to irreversibly promote this transition. While major progress has been made in the understanding the transcriptional activity of the underlying master regulators, much less is known on the metabolic regulation of plasma cell differentiation that is required to support antibody synthesis, folding and secretion at high levels and allow their long-lasting survival.

When conditions are prosperous, mTOR facilitates protein and lipid biosyntheses and inhibits autophagy, while under metabolic constraints, however, its attenuation induces a catabolic program, energy preservation and autophagy.

Methods of diagnostics of primary intraocular lymphomas associated with primary CNS lymphomas are described. This article demonstrates the value of neurophtalmological assessment before surgery in patients with intracranial space occupying lesions. Three cases with bilateral primary intraocular lymphomas are presented.

Aim of the study was to demonstrate the possibility of effective surgical revascularization of the brain in children with moya-moya disease. 3 year old girl with moya-moya disease underwent encephalo-duro-arteriosynangiosis. At 14 months follow-up signs and symptoms of cerebral ischemia totally resolved.
