A microphysics model to describe the photoionization and impact ionization processes in dielectric ablator materials like plastic has been implemented into the one-dimensional hydrodynamic code LILAC for planar and spherical targets. At present, the initial plasma formation during the early stages of a laser drive are modeled in an ad hoc manner, until the formation of a critical surface. Implementation of the physics-based models predict higher values of electron temperature and pressure than the ad hoc model.

Background: Evidence suggests that low levels of Vitamin D may adversely affect the cardiovascular (CV) system. Several studies have been done regarding the relation and possible causative role of Vitamin D in CV disorders and its well-known risk factors; however, there are limited studies in this part of the world. The aims were as follows: (1) To study the relation between serum Vitamin D level between nonhypertensive and hypertensive patients.

While usual measures of electronic decoherence such as the purity employ the full N-particle density matrix which is generally unavailable, the distilled purities are based on the r-body reduced density matrices (r-RDMs) which are more accessible quantities. The r-body distilled purities are derivative quantities of the previously introduced r-body reduced purities [I.

For arbitrary states, the effects only decouple when the electronic dynamics induced by the nuclear bath is pure-dephasing in nature such that [H(S),H(SB)] = 0, where H(S) is the electronic Hamiltonian and H(SB) is the electron-nuclear coupling. We quantitatively illustrate this connection via exact simulations of a Hubbard-Holstein molecule using the Hierarchical Equations of Motion that show that increasing the degree of electronic interactions can enhance or suppress the rate of electronic coherence loss.

It is a rare congenital anomaly which stands out from other craniosynostosis due to its characteristic skeletal presentations.

The bond lengths in the guanidinium cation are inter-mediate between normal C-N and C=N bond lengths, indicating significant delocalization in this species. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl inter-actions generate R(2) (1)(6) ring motifs.
