Neuroscience education is challenged by rapidly evolving technology and the development of interdisciplinary approaches for brain research. The Human Brain Project (HBP) Education Programme aimed to address the need for interdisciplinary expertise in brain research by equipping a new generation of researchers with skills across neuroscience, medicine, and information technology. Over its ten year duration, the programme engaged over 1,300 experts and attracted more than 5,500 participants from various scientific disciplines in its blended learning curriculum, specialised schools and workshops, and events fostering dialogue among early-career researchers.

Study Design: Data from four prospective cohorts, Latinx, Eating, and Diabetes; Stress in Pregnancy Study; Project Viva; and Center for the Health Assessment of Mothers and Children of Salinas were used to test childhood obesity risk models and predict childhood obesity by ages 4 through 6, using five clinical variables (maternal age, maternal prepregnancy body mass index, birth weight Z-score, weight-for-age Z-score change, and breastfeeding), derived from a previously validated risk model and as measured in each cohort's clinical setting. Multivariable logistic regression was performed within each cohort, and performance of each model was assessed based on discrimination and predictive accuracy.

To build a robust transcriptional risk prediction model for pediatric AML, we perform RNA-sequencing on 1503 primary diagnostic samples. While a 17 gene leukemia stem cell signature (LSC17) is predictive in our aggregated pediatric study population, LSC17 is no longer predictive within established cytogenetic and molecular (cytomolecular) risk groups.

Our study describes the morphology and the morphometry of the fibula, in particular intramedullary, so as to specify the best fibular nail features.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective study on CT acquisitions of fibulae in vivo.
Electrophysiological evidence suggested primarily the involvement of the middle temporal (MT) area in depth cue integration in macaques, as opposed to human imaging data pinpointing area V3B/kinetic occipital area (V3B/KO). To clarify this conundrum, we decoded monkey functional MRI (fMRI) responses evoked by stimuli signaling near or far depths defined by binocular disparity, relative motion, and their combination, and we compared results with those from an identical experiment previously performed in humans. Responses in macaque area MT are more discriminable when two cues concurrently signal depth, and information provided by one cue is diagnostic of depth indicated by the other.

Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective unicentre study of patients with acoustic neuromas treated in a period of 12 years. In our institutional series of 108 acoustic neuromas operated on during that period, we found 13 (12%) cases of giant acoustic neuromas.
