Article Synopsis
  • Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) is a respiratory disease caused by dysfunctional cilia, leading to mucus buildup and frequent lung infections, making diagnosis challenging in newborns.

  • Early detection of PCD is crucial for neonatologists, as it can significantly reduce complications and enhance the quality of life for affected infants.
