Background: Relapsing polychondritis is a rare disease characterised by inflammation of cartilaginous and proteoglycan rich structures. As there are only a few published single centre case series from all across the world, we describe our experience with 26 patients at a tertiary centre in north India.
Methods: A retrospective study with all patients meeting Damiani and Levine's modification of McAdam's diagnostic criteria.

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is the first herpes virus to be completely sequenced. It is implicated in diseases from the benign infectious mononucleosis to malignant nasopharyngeal carcinoma, Burkitt's lymphoma and primary CNS lymphoma in AIDS patients. It has also been found to be associated with some miscellaneous diseases like chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis etc.

Methotrexate is an antimetabolite commonly used in clinical practice for a variety of indications ranging from rheumatoid arthritis and other connective tissue disorders to high dose regimens in many malignancies. This folate antagonist has got a spectrum of toxicities among which gastrointestinal effects predominate. Lung injury is a well described but rare event and has been reported most often in patients who have been on long term oral therapy for rheumatic disorders.

Improper precautions during vascular catheter insertion result in inadvertent introduction of air into the vasculature. Systemic embolization into the cerebral, pulmonary, and coronary circulations can be catastrophic.
