Background: Pneumatosis intestinalis (PI) is a rare radiological finding that may be associated with various diseases. In the neonatal period, it is considered pathognomonic for necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). Cow's milk protein allergy (CMA) is the main cause of allergy especially in term infants appearing following breastfeeding or consumption of milk-based formulas.

There are uncertainties about the optimal tTG-IgA titre and timing of endoscopy in the diagnosis of CD, and this study aimed to contribute to the debate on the tTGA-IgA threshold titre for endoscopy decisions in children with T1D.
Methods: The data of 991 children with T1D who had undergone serologic evaluation for CD were analysed retrospectively.
Shaping the ear cartilage and preserving the shape are important and quite difficult. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Wharton's jelly-derived stem cell-assisted electromechanical reshaping method in a rabbit ear cartilage defect model and to compare it with surgical reshaping. For the purpose of 25 × 4-mm cartilage defect reconstruction, 48 rabbit ears were divided into 2 main groups according to the shaping method, and these main groups were divided into 3 subgroups according to stem cell injection: control, sham, and stem cell.

According to recent studies, tranexamic acid (TXA) is effective in the treatment of epistaxis. This study compared the therapeutic superiority of saline to that of 500 and 1000 mg doses of topical TXA for the treatment of anterior epistaxis.

Materials And Methods: In this retrospective single-center study, patients aged 18 and older who visited the emergency department and underwent CCT between January and February 2022 were included. The Mehran score, calculated from patient data, was used to assess risk.

Objective: Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) has proven to be a successful treatment method for achalasia in both adult and pediatric patients. Yet, there is a lack of evidence for anaesthetic management of pediatric patients who underwent POEM procedure. In this study, we aim to present perioperative and postoperative management strategies for pediatric patients with achalasia from in anaesthesia aspect.

This study aimed to distinguish pituitary metastases from pituitary neuroendocrine tumors on the basis of conventional MR imaging and clinical features as a practical approach.
Materials And Methods: In this 2-center retrospective study, backward from January 2024, preoperative pituitary MR imaging examinations of 22 pituitary metastases and 74 pituitary neuroendocrine tumors were analyzed.
Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) is a serious medical condition that can lead to significant morbidity and mortality if not diagnosed and treated promptly. Early detection and treatment are essential for improving the outcome in patients with ICH. Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is a non-invasive imaging technique that has been used to detect changes in brain tissue oxygenation and blood flow in various conditions.

Maralixibat, an ileal bile acid transporter inhibitor, is an approved pharmacologic therapy for cholestatic pruritus in ALGS. Since long-term placebo-controlled studies are not feasible or ethical in children with rare diseases, a novel approach was taken comparing 6-year outcomes from maralixibat trials with an aligned and harmonized natural history cohort from the G lobal AL agille A lliance (GALA) study.

In the last few years, there has been a more significant increase due to the effects of the pandemic. This study aimed to determine the rate of patients who underwent chest imaging in the emergency department, the preferred imaging method, and the demographic characteristics of the patients undergoing imaging during the pre-pandemic and post-pandemic periods.

NAFLD has become the most prevalent chronic liver disease in Western countries, and the proportion of NAFLD-related cirrhosis among patients on liver transplantation waiting lists has increased. In light of the accumulated data about NAFLD, and to provide a common approach with multi-disciplines dealing with the subject, it has become necessary to create new guidance for diagnosing and treating NAFLD.

It predisposes patients to the development of malignancies, most commonly lymphoma. We report an 8-month-old infant with ADA deficient severe combined immunodeficiency who developed progressive liver dysfunction and hepatocellular carcinoma after successful hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

The scarcity of short- and long-term immune monitoring of AIH hampered us to comprehend the interaction between immunosuppressive medication and immune homeostasis.
Methods And Patients: We recruited children with AIH at the time of diagnosis and at the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 12th, 18th, and 24th months of immunosuppression (IS).

Chronic liver disease incidence is increasing among children worldwide due to a multitude of epidemiological changes. Most of these chronic insults to the pediatric liver progress to fibrosis and cirrhosis to different degrees. Liver and immune physiology differs significantly in children from adults.

A new and optimized liquid chromatographic method for the determination of organic impurities of acetaminophen was developed using an ultra-high performance liquid chromatographic (UHPLC) system, which can separate this impurity. This new liquid chromatographic method has been optimized and validated for the simultaneous determination of acetaminophen related compound B, acetaminophen related compound C, acetaminophen related compound D, acetaminophen related compound J and ODAA, the organic impurities in acetaminophen drug substance.

Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is a chronic progressive autoimmune liver disease characterized by hypergammaglobulinemia, interface hepatitis, a female preponderance, and the presence of autoantibodies in most patients. The presence of HLA-DR3/DR4 and functional impairment in regulatory T cells are associated with AIH. However, AIH is a multifactorial complex disease.
