Loneliness in the Republic of Srpska: advocating for social prescribing.

This study explores the potential implementation of social prescribing in the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the approach is non-existent, and supporting structures are underdeveloped despite a recognized need for intervention. As social prescribing gains global recognition for improving health, the study investigates its feasibility in an uncharted area. The research assesses the necessity for social prescribing by examining loneliness rates and healthcare utilization in the Republic of Srpska, a region seldom studied in public health literature.
